If you are passionate about humane and just labor practices and regulations, the place to start is right at home. The US has seen a wave of workers strikes and unionizations and movements. Trains are derailing and causing long term environmental disasters & the govt doesn’t care

Really quite tired of Westerners having any kinda thoughts abt Taiwan, Taiwan-mainland relations & Taiwanese vs. Chinese identity. Why are you soooOooOoo concerned abt Taiwanese identity & culture. Maybe show more concern for all the cultures/identities you’ve eradicated first.

My intuition as I absorb the chatter on the ground here in Taiwan is that the opinions you’re likely hearing of what TW ppl think are just as curated for a ready and willing Western audience as you might imagine. They are extreme and in the very vocal minority.
