Recently two guys approached me to help in finding a job. I checked their CVs and told them that they can get PhD scholarship abroad and will get a stipend which will be higher than a salary here. They didn't believe it. Guided them in the application. Both r leaving for PhD soon

Met a Saudi Tech company. They had outsourced some work in Pak. During internet shutdowns for elections, the Pakistani tech company could not deliver the work to the Saudi company. The Saudi company's risk department asked their management not to outsource tech work in Pakistan.

Every student enrolled in an undergrad degree in Pak should do a part time job. This is totally wrong that undergrad and grad students in Pakistan dnt do any part time work. Many dnt fee comfortable working in a resturant or a store or a filling station. We need to change it.

We never allowed the import of 3D printers in Pak. We didn't allow the import of engineering components as our EDB overregulated this sector to protect local low quality manufactures. We didn't allow the import of synthetic fibre. Now we cant produce PPE and hospital equipment.

Big Question for Pakistan is how to reduce reliance on imported fuel? Invest in Railways and public transport instead of motorways and signal free ring roads. Promote solar energy with domestic investment in batteries. Strictly monitor & enforce fuel efficiency of all vehicles.

Karachi elite (subtly) dominates media, intellectual narrative (like Karachi pays 70% taxes), and biz. Lahori elite (pompously) controls power. Islamabadi elite is illusionary. Their English accent & some connections with ministers and goras make them think they are powerful.

Today, I met a cardiologist, former head of PIC. I asked him why so many heart diseases in Pakistan? The first thing he mentioned: we have stopped walking and cycling. There are also other known and unknown reasons like genetics. But we need to reorient our lives and #PakCities .

Applying for any VISA from Pakistan is a nightmare. So many documents needed. You give them original document issued by NADRA with an electronic bar code etc, then they ask you to get it verified by foreign office. Then get tickets and hotel stay at the time of application. Ufff

Elite does not want to cycle on roads. So they dnt let others to cycle. They want to do high speed cars on signal free roads in cities to reach to their gym for cycling. Make cities walkable, cycleabale and people friendly to address climate and public health crisis in cities.

Pakistani urban elite (incl upper middle class) dsnt encourage their kids to do any commercial r social work during their education. We r raising a generation that lacks empathy & understanding of the social world around them. Most of them also lack any diverse cultural exposure.

Pak has a huge shortage of houses for middle class, lower middle class, poor, youth, and women. People are forced to live in unhealthy and toxic households only due to shortage of houses. They are not on footpaths but are suffering. There is no shortage of houses for the elite.
