Every month, I get $442 of free money. 401k is not a scam.

@money_cruncher But how do you take the money to invest in businesses? Or real estate? Or Solana? And how do you use it when you want to retire early at 40? Oh that’s right, it’s a scam

@money_cruncher Definitely got to take the company match if they offer it. 👍 But then you have to wonder, if they didn’t offer the match - would they be willing to pay more on the check? Do companies who don’t match contributions average higher salaries than those that do? 🤷‍♂️

@money_cruncher It’s not free money, you worked for it and they’re contractually obliged to pay it into your pension for your benefit

@money_cruncher It is without an employer match. In that case, there are much better retirement options.

@money_cruncher Contribute to the match. 💲 Not a big fan of contributing more than that to a program that has high fees

@money_cruncher 401k is basically getting paid to lock up liquidity for decades.

@money_cruncher I wish my company matched that high. Mine maxes out at $100/per pay period regardless of what I contribute. Still free money, so not complaining, but more would be better. 😁
