I tried to pick a very toxic pic of me while talking about maximalism today at
@BitcoinAtlantis
but I'm smiling in every single one ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ
I guess maxis are nice people, after all.
When people tell me that my introductory video on
#bitcoin
in Italian is too long (20 minutes long: background history, where to buy, where to store, what to avoid, best practices), I reply that maybe bitcoin is not for them if they have an attention span of less than 20 minutes.
Even if
#bitcoin
went to zero, I won't feel poor thanks to all the things I learned & the people I met during these years. It completely changed my mindset & my everyday life.
BTW, bitcoin is going to the moon.
After 5 days in the hospital, my baby and I are free to go. She wasn't gaining weight and she had bad blood results, so they had to check for many (bad) possibilities. At the end everything is super fine and today is one of the best days of my life and I can't stop smiling.
If you start talking about NFTs,
sorry but it's a turn off.
Let's talk about
unconfiscatable, sound, trustless, censorship-resistant, permissionless
borderless money
Because this is the real deal!
"I can't afford
#bitcoin
at this point"
And even if you try to explain divisibility, the fact that you can buy a small fraction, dollar cost averaging strategies...
Nothing seems to convince some nocoiners.
This misconception seems even stronger than the tech barrier.
Signs the person you're speaking with is a nocoiner:
- thinks that blockchain > bitcoin
- talks about a "better" bitcoin
- believes in regulation and FIAT
- talks like Krugman
- quote things like tulips, bubbles, cycles

They've started surveiling phones in Lombady: they know that 40% moved more than 500mt (from cell towers)
People are happy & ask for stricter measures while reporting neighbors
Soon to be announced: walks forbidden & time extension of the whole country quarantine.
I'm scared.
I'm repeating this over & over: if you only care for efficiency, tx price & short term profits, then
#bitcoin
is not for you.
True decentralization, censorship resistance, trustlessness, permissionlessness require time & technical commitment, therefore degrees of inefficiency.
Teaching

First day on a lockdown in Milan.
Summary:
- Everything kinda okay, but many things are unclear about our movements & exceptions
- other areas locked down before us still have groceries & drugs
- hospitals are dealing with a difficult situation
Stay safe!

A list of basic stupid stuff you could do:
1/2
- talk abt your bitcoins online & offline
- purchase altcoins to "diversify"
- purchase the wrong type of Bitcoin (BCH, BSV)
- purchase KYC btc without understanding the implications
- leave your btc on exchanges
Although I like bitcoin stuff (stickers, t-shirts, memorabilia and so on), I can't stop wondering how much is dangerous this "bitcoin signalling". I still think it's a better idea to keep a low profile in real life and a pseudo-anonymous identity online.
I used to think of myself as an introvert, then I met bitcoiners in real life and I found out that they don't drain me as it usually happens with other people but actually being with them fully recharge me of good energy, new ideas & hope for the future.
Bullish on bitcoiners.
Before being a bitcoiner people used to tell me how shy & insicure I was, now they appreciate how direct I am.
Being surrended by critical, indipendent & sovereign thinkers & finding the courage to express my own voice are the most precious things I gained from
#bitcoin
The only Bitcoin inspired tattoo that I could considere is this sentence by Satoshi:
"If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry."
It's quite long, but is undeniably just... perfect.
I f**king miss my
#bitcoin
friends.
Need to go to a conference or a meetup, learn a lot, visit great places, have meaningful & funny conversations and knowing there's another conference soon after that.
