Ivan Bates, a Baltimore defense attorney, has won the Democratic primary.

JUST IN: Johns Hopkins confirms Dr. Madhu Subramanian was shot in “off-campus apparent attempted carjacking.”
Dr. Subramanian was treated and released, Hopkins says.
According to the hospital website, Dr. Subramanian’s expertise is trauma and acute care surgery.
