FARAWAY, the first in a series of micro-social apps I'm building using the Farcaster social graph. In a performative world of content, think of it like a low stress status message.

I’m terminally bad at talking about all of the things I’ve been working on, so how about a year end post? Most of my creative output in 2022 has been making stuff with friends at FWB

It’s been a long bear market but we’re still here. I made this NFT project as a love letter to web3 w/ stickers representing some of my favorite people and projects.
💦 Mint & decorate a 3D bottle
💦 Upload your own stickers
💦 Make ETH when people mint them

it’s time for me to move on to new projects. I'm going to take a bit of time off and work on some new ideas, but I’m open to collaborations and interesting roles in web3. My DM's are open.
🦄 Embedding a customized Uniswap trading experience into any UI in a single line of code has been a dream of mine for over 3 years now

Who remembers Google’s project Ara? It was an idea for a modular phone where new weirdo customized components could be snapped in and out depending on your personal needs.
Facebook was bringing an undersea cable into the coast of Oregon (against the community’s vocal disapproval) and their drill broke so they just abandoned 1,100 feet of pipe, a drill tip, various other tools and 6,500 gallons of drilling fluid in the ocean.

Can’t hold people to the beliefs they held when they were younger. Bloomberg was just a 72 year old teen when he enforced stop and frisk. He’s grown up a lot! 👶
Stunning news:
@MikeBloomberg
, who is preparing to run for president, is apologizing for his NYPD's use of stop-and-frisk at Christian Cultural Center. He has adamantly defended it for years, even as crime has gone down as stops have been reduced.
This week we welcomed

When I was in middle school there was a asshole boy that was mean to my sister. He was obsessed with Pearl Jam (lol) so I wrote a program called AOPearlJam and sent it to him saying it was an AOL Pearl Jam haxor app. Deleted every file on his computer. Pearl Jam looool 🤣

Lately I've been trying to make digital work that has the feeling of some physicality. These pieces are made out of stone textured webgl columns randomly generated and arranged at mint.

Our Product Team’s Roadmap is here.
We believe the future of product design is centered around communities and not users.
We ask ourselves — How might we build a better community experience for our friends?
The release of Monarchs is an attempt to push through preconceived notions— his own and those of his peers —about NFTs, the value of art, and what it means to define your own parameters for success as a creative in Web3.
Friends with Benefits is excited to enter our second year.
For Season Five, we will be introducing new ways for our community to venture out and come together – both online and offline.
Welcome to Season Five: Social Spaces
This is incredibly stupid
@nytimes
. I’m staying in Hong Kong right now and I wake up DAILY to new graffiti outside my window. What is the point of having a non-local write an opinion of what’s going on here? As if a New Yorker flying in to let us know what’s going on is valuable.
Lot of people asking "wen FWB NFT" and that time has finally come.
We've reimagined what an NFT gallery would look like on our terms, thx to

crew. More on that soon, but in the meanwhile:
The bidding for access to our sold-out party begins NOW.

I’ve opened a store that sells 1 of 1 AI generated apparel designs. Every image is unique and goes out of stock after purchase. First product available is sunset sandals...no two pair are the same. 🏖
20 years ago the entire internet was just various Arnold Schwarzenegger sound boards where you could prank call people with “who is your daddy and what does he do?”
Howard Shultz made us embarrass ourselves by saying “grande” when ordering a medium. What level of insane fascism is he capable of if he gets to our nations highest office?
After FWB Fest we came back and went full tilt building a web3 social mobile app and have launched it to a hundred beta testers. In January we’ll release it to the whole community…it’s very crazy. More to come soon.

Tried to explain to a Lyft driver what I did for a living...
Him: “so you basically go into a website and, like, make a 3D dog talk or something?”
Yes.
Running the pro’s and cons of watching tonight’s debate:
PROS
- Seems like important history to watch
CONS
- Won’t change my vote (obvs)
- Will be like injecting poison into my brain right before bedtime
- Twitter will recap the important bits for me so why watch it live?
"The algorithmic feed critique is not new, but right now there are no viable alternatives for creatives. I’m inspired to build social apps that are new and participatory rather than doom scrolling consumption." –

Oh and when twitter rolled out their bizarre hexagon profile pictures I made a weekend project of randomly generated WebGL gem shaped NFTs that you could use as your pfp.
The 90s feeling of getting out of a boring day of high school, getting into your first car, putting on Wu Tang’s new song “Triumph”, and going home to dial into the internet.
The person that designed this cover must have been shitting bricks knowing the code had to be readable by normal people and would be analyzed by nerds
....and they still missed a semi-colon on the first delay() call. 😬
After 2 weeks of multiple health screens and asking everyone to quarantine, I surprised my closest inner circle with a trip to a private island where we could pretend things were normal just for a brief moment in time.
