This is awesome!
@coachjfranklin
finishes his radio show, about to sprint home to get his girls to bed before flying out at 6 AM this morning to recruit the day before we play Purdue & he finds a few minutes to play catch.
👀 Leadership according to

1) Getting Results
2) Making People Feel Good
3) Connecting Each Person To a
A Bigger Mission
The good leaders do one.
The great leaders do two.
The best leaders do all three like

Trophies are awesome & he isn't finished winning them, yet
@coachjfranklin
will tell you he's most proud of cultivating a culture buoyed by meaningful relationships, inclusiveness & positive energy. He is also undoubtedly influencing the next generation of great coaches!
No better, finer, louder, more intimidating, more intense, more electric, more chaotic, more fun, more magical, more exhilarating environment in college sports!
#WeAre
When working with people, assume good intentions.
When listening to people, interpret their words in a generous way.
You will occasionally get burned & mistreated by always assuming the best in others, but it is a far better way to live than the opposite.

This dude,
@MicahhParsons11
, is elite! He is just scratching the suface of his potential. Versatility is a plus...can play multiple positions in a 4-3 or 3-4 & is extremely tough against the run. You got it right
@PFF_Mike
!
The challenge for anyone interested in making progress is to simultaneously have (1) the confidence to go after what you want & (2) the humility to accept who you are right now & (3) the willingness to build skills that bridge the gap between 1 & 2.

GM Mike Mayock shares a story about how No. 53 impressed him... way back in the East-West Shrine game.
More from Mayock:
We lost one rock star in
@TylerBowen
& gained another in
@CoachTHowle
. Coach Howle is a gifted teacher, sees the big picture & is incredibly humble. Our tight ends are in good hands!
What looks like a talent gap is often a focus gap.
The 'all star' is often an average to above average performer who spends more time working on what is important & less time on distractions.
The talent is staying focused.

If you'd like to do something bold with your life, you will have to choose to do something bold on a specific day.
There is no perfect day. There is no right time. For the trajectory to change, there has to be one day when you simply make the choice.

@MicahhParsons11
is one of the most unique & gifted college football players I have ever seen. He is just beginning to scratch the surface of his potential!
#WeAre
God, grant us the courage & strength to live up to the ideals & promise of this union. True patriotism is the fight for liberty & justice for all Americans.

This dude,
@MicahhParsons11
, is absolutely ridiculous. Talk to folks in football & they will tell you the same. His 10th sack put him in a rare category!
Micah Parsons is the 1st player with 70 tackles and 10.0 sacks through his team's 1st 12 games since James Harrison in 2010.
He's on pace for over 100 tackles and 14.0 sacks this season. The last player to do both was Bruce Smith in 1993.
Simple is nearly always better. But if it's going to be complicated, then make sure the problem is worth the complexity. A great deal of time is wasted creating complex solutions to relatively unimportant problems.
@JamesClear
David Williams gave of himself more than he recieved. I admired his relentless advocacy for student-athletes, his intelligent perspective & his passion for Motown. His authenticity was rare & it distinguished him. Thoughts & prayers are with his entire family. He will be missed!
