I was a 4 year starter in college, but the fans who cheered for me, asked for autographs or pictures don’t call and offer to pay my mortgage or children’s college tuition. I’ve also never been asked my college stats in a job interview. Education will far outlast Football. #Ap2w

When we visit a school in addition to grades we check conduct reports and attendance reports. If you are tardy or absent regularly in high school you’ll probably be tardy or absent regularly in college. This will quickly get you removed from our recruiting board. #Ap2w

In off coverage we focus on the inside hip of the receiver pre snap. It allows us to see his initial stem, maintain proper leverage and gage his speed off the ball. Our eyes don’t leave the hips until they sink and we establish a drive point. This helps to eliminate double moves.

Our starting left tackle the last 3 seasons and current NFL prospect chose to pass up participating in our pro day today because he’s decided to attend medical school. A lot of people asked him “WHY” when he chose Duke. He made a 40 year college decision not a 4 year decision.
