This is factually wrong. Labour never had a bold soft Brexit offer. In pivoting towards delivering Brexit, it ditched free movement, never committed on Single Market, and only went for Customs Union in early 2018. And you argued *against* soft Brexit because of state aid rules.

Labour’s message on a soft Brexit that brings country together would now work well against Boris Johnson, hard Brexit & likely election. Sadly that crystal clear position has become an utter mess because of two years of remain-ultras. It is not good to be right about this!

Finally on my way home from today's protests. Exhausted but also overwhelmed by what we've pulled off. Thank you to everyone who stewarded and who pulled the stops out. A protest bigger than the inauguration in a country a fraction of the size. #TrumpUKVisit #TrumpVisitUK

What an utterly bonkers description of the past 2 years. Not least because Labour *was never* clear on the Single Market. It still isn't. It only shifted to supporting a Customs Union in February 2018.

2 years ago Labour were clear on Brexit: accept result but create stability for business/EU nationals w/ single market. On doorstep that would have sounded like: ‘we respect result & are only grown ups’. Eroded over 2 years. Means no deal & no Corbyn govt. People were warned!

Hugely proud of @labourlewis and his campaign and gutted he's out. He's a sharp, principled politician and he deserved to be on the ballot. We needed him and his ideas on it. Now we need to build a radical left that is democratic, internationalist and pluralist. Let's get to it.

For reference: this is what happens if Labour gets a result about as good as 1997. Still no majority To get anywhere near power, Labour is going to have to work with other parties If you don't feel comfortable calling that a "progressive alliance", try calling it something else

While the launch of Enough is Enough has been exciting to watch, we need to be clear that rallies and a new generation of left celebrities are not what will win. What's needed now is a democratic movement, with local groups uniting campaigns in every town, city and borough.

Surely, as a #LabourNEC member on the left, with Jeremy Corbyn on the brink of winning a national election for the first time, you just have to back a policy which: ✔ is already backed by the Labour whip ✔mobilises your activists ✔mobilises the voters you need Don't you?

Make no mistake. The police rioted tonight at the vigil at Clapham Common. People need to lose their jobs over this.

Looking forward to all the fucking tedious "all I want for Christmas is EU" singing from those of my fellow Remainers who have no self awareness or any idea how to campaign or convince people of anything.

Really genuinely looking forward to touring alongside Tim Martin across Wetherspoons nationwide. As well as talking to residents about why Brexit is shit, I'll might also talk about the appalling pay and conditions I experienced when working there.
