This is factually wrong. Labour never had a bold soft Brexit offer. In pivoting towards delivering Brexit, it ditched free movement, never committed on Single Market, and only went for Customs Union in early 2018. And you argued *against* soft Brexit because of state aid rules.

Labour’s message on a soft Brexit that brings country together would now work well against Boris Johnson, hard Brexit & likely election. Sadly that crystal clear position has become an utter mess because of two years of remain-ultras. It is not good to be right about this!

2 years ago Labour were clear on Brexit: accept result but create stability for business/EU nationals w/ single market. On doorstep that would have sounded like: ‘we respect result & are only grown ups’. Eroded over 2 years. Means no deal & no Corbyn govt. People were warned!

Hugely proud of @labourlewis and his campaign and gutted he's out. He's a sharp, principled politician and he deserved to be on the ballot. We needed him and his ideas on it. Now we need to build a radical left that is democratic, internationalist and pluralist. Let's get to it.

While the launch of Enough is Enough has been exciting to watch, we need to be clear that rallies and a new generation of left celebrities are not what will win. What's needed now is a democratic movement, with local groups uniting campaigns in every town, city and borough.
