One Direction played 329 live shows in just under four years and their apperance fee rose from £20,000 to 100k for a private gig (The boys were paid nowhere near this). I remember this one clearly as management were furious I posted it online.

Final one in thread. 2011 apperance fees (They did change during the year) Wagner £3750 (At highest was £7500) Management used to book £65 a night hotel room. Jedward £10k Olly Murs £15,000 Pixie Lott from £25k Compare that to Beyonce who got £120,000 a day and kept 80%.

Few busy days at the London film festival, but further investigation tells me that most of the former BGT contestants I spoke too had a good experience on the show. However the singers on The X Factor were hard done by with unfair contract terms :Bad pay, nda, sold their soul etc

Eoghan Quigg's fee for a 30 minute show inc meet and greet was 5k plus vat and a rider. After the X Factor tour Aiden Grimshaw fee doubled to £15000, but Wagner's was halved!

JUSTIN BIEBER - Always supported Justin, met him twice, promoted his Bieber Fever premiere etc. He was running late for a book signing (I got there 2 hours early) and all the booked WERE SIGNED by hit team and fans paid £20 a copy. At the time no-one listened. I felt disgusted.

Artists with their own record label for example are still tied into managers, publicists, affiliated press, booking agents who can control tours, workload, publicity, payments etc - so unless he can take a break and walk away and get a new team, then no, never.

Must add, it does go the othe way too, some music artists being offered songs by other artists I've heard ask for a songwriting credit and split it then 50%.

@aaood_niall They got better paid from 2012 onwards as Cowell gave them (One Direction) a 2M bonus but money was usually split before that. Harry bought his mum a new house that year.
