Did you know that places like Indian Bend Wash and Thunderbird Paseo Park are SUPPOSED to be flooded?
While dry most of the time, these areas were designed to convey rainwater away from people and property. Stay out of these areas while they are flooded.

The maximum flow of the Salt and Verde Rivers was measured at 67,500 CFS between 8PM and midnight on December 31, and the flow stayed within 3,000 CFS of this amount from 8AM on 12/31 to 1AM 1/1.

was very wet when 👀 at Maricopa County as a whole! The Avg across the ALERT gages was 4.92" vs the POR Avg of 3.08"! 2022 season was 3rd wettest in last 20yrs trailing only 2021 (6.05")& 2014 (6.97")! 2022 also rivals some of the wettest years in the 80s & 90s

Our Hassayampa River near Morristown gage at ~11:20am. Current discharge is 2400cfs. Stream peaked at 4,660 cfs at 9:20am. It’s a beautiful location! 😍 This water will flow over Patton Rd. Dip crossing 10 miles downstream.
