Just got denied my grant and I’m being told I’ll get no maintenance and only half my fees paid so I will not be able to continue my studies in September. I hope you’re so proud @SimonHarrisTD of the barriers that are in place that are stopping a Traveller from becoming a teacher.

The RSA really need do something about driving tests. There’s currently 85,000 people on the waiting list and the average waiting time is now 8 months for a test. Almost 55% of people who sit their driving tests fail. Something needs to be done.

I say this every single year but the SUSI grant system needs massive reform and does not reflect the true cost of education. If you’re a postgraduate who’s entire household income is over €24,500 you aren’t entitled to any maintenance and only half towards your fees.
