Something about these AI-generated videos.. reminds me of my dreams— things & places identifiable but not the same as real-life experiences. And small details such as time or words are often just completely off
@dbrand
I respect MKBHD calling you guys out and I respect you for acknowledging the screw up.
It’s funny because I know you made that joke because of your age-old persona of poking fun on the internet but that specific joke was a little too extreme. Anyways, the past is in the past 🤝

I design and develop AR apps & experiences; that’s my alley. But I can’t believe Apple Vision Pro is real— epic use of eye & hand tracking for interface navigation. Congratulations to all the folks at Apple for making today a reality. It was worth the long wait! 🙌🏼
My app No Cap was rejected at launch due to some misunderstanding with screenshots. As an indie developer, I find it unfair that a big company like Nothing got away with this. Their app should be pulled from the App Store immediately until they resubmit it with proper screenshots

Strongly disagree. Skeuomorphism had its time. It was necessary for the iPhone to progress beyond its initial ‘toy-like’ perception and mature into the efficient tool it is today.
In hindsight, this was certainly a philosophical change— by stripping away the unnecessary, Apple focused on functionality, making iPhone & iPad more efficient and intuitive. The simplified design brought a new level of clarity and focus, bringing attention to the task at hand

Always been fascinated by other icons in the reveal video & how they landed on this one. One of the iterations looked a lot like the TikTok icon. IMO the icon with the blue background looks very well crafted! The OG icon is still superior tho 😭
💿 I'm a big fan of CD booklets from my favorite music artists. Digital booklets & iTunes LPs are cool, but the rise of music streaming creates room for a dedicated experience, letting fans delve into the artist's creative journey and the branding narrative of the album.
When the starlight filters through the rustling of the leaves, it is in moments like these we reflect on the magic that lies within us, the magic that has always been there, waiting for us to discover it.

And, I really mean it’s good for you. I hope you will get the vaccine as soon as it is available to you. It is our best chance to achieve herd immunity & chance to stop the spread of emerging variants.

Imagine designers & engineers wasting their youth years grinding on their degrees and perfecting their craft and at the end of the day get told by product managers to just copy
Over the past decade, this ethos has been applied to every aspect of Apple’s design and product philosophy. The redesign introduced in iOS 7 has stood the test of time. Even today, subsequent iterations of iOS are built on the foundation laid by iOS 7
@MKBHD
Agreed with everything you said. Even tho it has an impressive hardware, I don’t see what this iPad can do that my M1 iPad Pro can’t do iPadOS-wise. I have a 1TB M1 Pro with 16GB Memory, and I haven’t seen iPadOS improve all that much. I hope WWDC will change things!
@iupdate
iPad Pro cameras are really bad and need an upgrade. It’s super inconvenient to rely on iPhone cameras for scanning documents to achieve better clarity. At its best, iPad cameras produce grainy, mediocre images
@andrewjclare
I made this concept before iOS 15- envisioning shortcuts such as creating Quick Notes; also bringing back Picture Frame from iOS 4. In hindsight, I can also imagine a screensaver mode like macOS
