Did you know that false allegations are recorded under NFA (No further action) so there are no accurate figures of how many falsely accused. Lawyers at the chalk face understand it to be way higher than the figures you quote. Teaching points should be accurate.
@karenwhybro
That's your job, not mine.
However as a teacher of over thirty years, I think it is terribly wrong to be giving out inaccurate information.

@karenwhybro
If they're recorded under no further action, that can mean that at least some of them may be genuine but no action was taken so no proof, but I can't see how it can conceal actual false allegations
@alamkara
There is no need to prove a false allegation. It is about whether a case can be built to obtain a conviction. Sometimes even true stories are thrown out in favour of untrue which are easier to get past a jury for whatever reason. We have to understand that it is not about truth.
@lizyeld
A policeman once told me that 50% of accusations in my area turn out to be false/NFA.
That’s not fine in my book. That’s somebody’s son having their lives ruined.
@confidencenac
That's someone's daughter or granddaughter losing their father, a wife their husband or son, an innocent man all too frequently his freedom and everything else.
And this is the tragedy and injustice of our times if all could but see it.
@lizyeld
@karenwhybro
Exactly. Just engaging ones brain tells you there is no way to count false accusations, but people seem unable to do that because if their ingrained bias.
@PPMI_Innocence
Like any of the Feminazi, she just makes them up, or takes them from some completely unreliable and biased source because they suit her own ideology.
@lizyeld
CPS is clear that if a case is stopped it doesn't mean it a false allegation.
Home office research shows it may be up to about 3%.

@lizyeld
And some ppl even make false accusations against a person just to increase the number of accusers in order to make them look more guilty. I've heard that's what happened to the actor Noel Clarke.
@lizyeld
What is a "false allegation"?
The Crown prosecutes rape suspects based on evidence it gathers during investigation after receiving a report. As with any other crime.
If you've got a problem take it up with the King.
