From my research, I estimate around 7-10% of the female population simply do not engage with activities after dark due to feelings of unsafety. I wonder why nobody has ever calculated the cost to the economy from this lack of engagement from women to jobs, exercise, socialising?

My partner’s friend gave a character reference for another friend accused of rape. My partner fell out with his friend over it. He says he would never provide a character reference because how could he know if he’d done it? And he’s right, of course. He was convicted btw.
