Male entitlement is at the root of male violence.
Men who believe they are entitled to women; their bodies and ultimately their lives take back final control through violence.

And it is enabled by LE & courts who refuse to intervene sooner & who downplay women’s valid concerns about safety when they are stalked, threatened or abused during, and especially after ending, a relationship.

Mens violence against women is well documented, the domestic violence figures in the UK are available to all to see. I can't speak to entitlement, but it is worth looking at the murder rates (men killing women), rape statistics and of course the domestic violence rates.

For ex. this article by a female psychotherapist & relationship expert is at best fantastical.

Patriarchy trap. Sets men up to measure their self worth by the properties they own. Size of their cars, size of their houses, people they "own".
