It's no different to NFT, crypto hype - it benefits them to sell AI as an inevitability with a bunch of lies because there's more investment money floating around than sense.
@lizaledwards
Nothing to see here, that's the same guy that was selling the bright future of NFT just year ago
He will be the first to actually be replaced by ChatGPT
@lizaledwards
@stealcase
AI is an enormous threat. But the people telling you it will replace you are mostly just getting you to read their newsletters so they make enough to get rich before it replaces them.
@lizaledwards
"My friend called me in tears! So instead of reevaluating the impact of my work, I used her pain to try and go viral and keep promoting the thing that made her lose her job!"

๐ Lawyers are the slowest to update their software. When I worked at a law firm we were using an old version of word because all of their addons and templates were only supported to that version and it would cost too much to update every firm globally to the latest addons.
@lizaledwards
I mean, I am a lawyer, and we have known algorithms would take away a big part of our job.... which is GREAT!
I don't have to embrace ChatGPT, because it can't (and won't ) do my job rn, but there's tools our there helping me narrow down research and other stuff
@lizaledwards
Matter of time they get replaced by AI by their own company.
Thereโs no real โlearn AIโ in any amount of depth. AI will get easier and easier to use. Jobs will be lost, even theirs - arguably faster than some.
@lizaledwards
ChatGPT makes a lot of factual errors and fabricates info, not a great thing for anything involving legality. Remember when several giant companies lost billions in value after their chatbot demonstrations made stupid easy mistakes?
@lizaledwards
@Chips_n_Cookies
As someone who plays a concerning amount of ai dungeon there is no way that chat bots are going to be taking over jobs any time soon
