People surprised that the new legendary's silhouette is a dick and balls have not been paying attention. Not only has this shape been integral from the beginning but I heard while working on Detective Pikachu that this was no accident.
Randos getting a bit too comfortable shitting on things artists make for fun. If it aint your taste, move on or at the very least use a screenshot instead of qrting the artist directly to be an asshole. Rude as hell.
Netflix has used AI-generated images in a new true crime doc ‘WHAT JENNIFER DID’ to present Jennifer Pan as happy & confident before she was convicted of murder.
Use of AI tools is not disclosed in the credits.

AI dweebs out here being so deluded that when AI models get updated they believe its actually their skill increasing.
Also kinda funny how the "better" image isnt even really better, its just a different setting.
Last night one of the AI developers behind that project that was ripping off living artists’ styles sent me a bunch of DMs(mostly omitted for length). He blocked me immediately after I responded and called me a moralist because I care about artists rights lol
Cool new scam artists should be aware of. Any rando can now turn your tweet and by extension, your artwork into an NFT by tagging this account @/tokenizedtweets
Block this guy
This is one of my favorite pieces I got to work on for Detective Pikachu. I did a chunk of concept art to try and pitch a museum set piece. Although admittedly it was mostly so I could try and get my favorite Pokemon, Tyrantrum, into the movie. I really like this piece.
In the last 24 hours I have had to report 29 instances of my art getting stolen as NFTs. I am so very tired of this and it seems to be getting worse. Every artist I know is getting their work jacked and its just not fair or right. What can we even do, it feels hopeless.
After 140 hours, I am done with Monster Hunter illustration. It may be "fanart" but this is my most intensely personal illustration in years. Rathalos is my favorite creature design, full stop. I did it, I did my boy proud.
Prompt: This close-up shot of a chameleon showcases its striking color changing capabilities. The background is blurred, drawing attention to the animal’s striking appearance.
This was my design for Venusaur on Detective Pikachu. This was during a period where I was free to explore a more naturalistic approach. Looking back though its super clear that this would be too scary for the tone of the movie. I think the design they ended up with is fabulous!

Of great, NFT art thieves are now applying garbage filters to my art(and many others') before minting, then have the audacity to imply they made the art on their profile. NFTs are bad for artists.
DeviantArt has decided your artwork there is fair game to be used in their new AI generator by default. You have to go to an obscure form to opt-out and requires 10 days to be reviewed.
We’re introducing new AI tools and controls!
✨DreamUp, a new tool to generate art
🎮Control the amount of AI art in your feed
🏷️Clear labeling of art that’s AI-generated
🫡A directive to opt out of AI datasets
🎨Ability to opt out of prompts
👩🎓
Oh whoa, DeviantArt just claimed to be able to detect when your art has been used as an NFT without your permission. If this works, this is extremely cool of them.
Seeing an AI guy shout “he actually said he could prompt better than me!!” in response to a professional artist’s takedown of his slop is so funny, dude.
Here's
@shadmbrooks
explaining why he didn't want to debate me on AI art, before calling my claims "absolutely retarded" and flying off the handle.
If I'm so stupid, then you should be able to win against me easily, no?🤔
I think we can all agree that the single most destructive change to site feel on twitter has been front loading replies from bluechex right?
Just absolutely demoralizing to read the replies on any big tweet now.
Hey maybe it’s just a me thing but I don’t think we should use the term “AI art” and use “AI images” instead.
Seems minor but these idiots start to think they are artists when you call their output “art” instead of “images”.
I've always found it very strange how many artists strongly dislike their own work. If you really don't like what you create, what keeps you doing it for so long?
What makes this AI different is that it's explicitly trained on current working artists. You can see below that the AI generated image(left) even tried to recreate the artist's logo of the artist it ripped off.
This thing wants our jobs, its actively anti-artist.
Shad, whose self-proclaimed strengths are in anatomy and proportion, is really showing us how its done. My redline is about as generous as you can get and it still looks very amateur. AI can't fix bad taste.
I’ve been working in games for about a decade and all but one non-indie game project I’ve worked on has now been canceled before release.
Going forward I am emphatically pushing for a clause in my contracts that if it gets cancelled I get to show my work. We should all do this.
Arcanine was originally going to be a much bigger part of Detective Pikachu. So this stuff is from very early on my work for the film. It was going to be Tim's Pokemon so I gave it the tongue sticky out thing my doofus cat does. What's not to love, its a horse sized liger-dog.
The Concept Art Association is raising money to hire a lobbyist to take the fight against AI image generators to DC. This is the most solid plan we have yet, support below.
If a game or movie gets canceled they should be obligated to let the artists who worked on it show off their artwork. Its preposterously stupid that all that artwork gets thrown into a void.
Its done, after 320 hours of painting. I present to you what is to my knowledge, the most accurate and rigorous Tyrannosaurus rex illustration out here.
I think one of the most underutilized themes of Godzilla illustration(Godzillastration) is just the sheer awe it would inspire to see something so massive emerging from the sea.
I was in the hospital for a about a week with life threatening pancreatitis and just had my gallbladder removed. I didn’t want to post about it here until I was out but yeah, I lived, bitch.
Thanks to DeviantArt's NFT reporting feature I have been alerted to some jackass who stole a ton of Pokemon art and listed them as NFTs. The really thought stealing official concept art for Detective Pikachu was a good idea huh
Paintpig and drawcel are such funny made up slurs for artists. Paintpig sounds too cool and drawcel is technically what the AI guys are; celibate from drawing.
Here is a collection of relatively modern or currently working artists that they advertise as styles to steal on their site(there are hundreds of others). This is just gross.
Dear twitter artists, don’t put links in posts you want a lot of eyes on. Twitter suppresses posts with links(it thinks they are ads). This includes hashtags.
Add links to a second post in a thread instead.
Suicune was my favorite of the three when I was a kid and now they made it a goddamn dinosaur??? It’s like they are begging me to draw it. It’s so cool!!
