@wesstreeting ⁩ maybe come and speak to some GPs so we can actually explain how partnerships work, and also dispel some of the misguided statements in this article. Be very careful what you wish for if you wish to get rid of GP partnerships .

@liamhosie @medicaccountant @wesstreeting 1st Telegraph 2nd The Times 3rd..... Dailymail may be. There is nothing concrete from Labour to help NHS overcome its challenges. It is most populist Boris Johnson type stuff. Sadly it will impact the most vulnerable Labour aspire to Champions

@liamhosie @wesstreeting I'd get rid of partnerships in a heart beat. Many work incredibly hard. But the gms contract doesn't allow commissioners to get minimum standards and activity from those who don't.

@liamhosie @wesstreeting I’m not a Labour voter and I don’t have a stake in this (other than as a UK resident) but what are the answers? It’s the same every time we have a healthcare crisis: nothing works, no change will work, we’re right, you’re wrong. Has anyone got any clue what we should do?

@liamhosie @wesstreeting Lots of GPs seem to be private concerns. I'm not sure how it all works but getting everyone under 1 roof may be good 🤷‍♀️

@liamhosie @wesstreeting Can’t wait to do 9-5 work, regular pay, no bills to pay, no logging back on at night until early hours and at weekend just to keep things taking a paycut because costs are rising. Not having to say no to patients and manage complex as they can self refer. 👍

@liamhosie @wesstreeting I do wonder if Wes had spoken to any GP’s? His justification for an overhaul of “the system” was some poor communication about an appt…- with Wes, the jury is still out with me I’m afraid…

@liamhosie @wesstreeting Wes Streeting has literally no idea what he's doing and a career politician like him with no actual beliefs or convictions should not be allowed anywhere near important decisions

@liamhosie @wesstreeting Not sure if GPs at the start of their careers want to become partners. Locks them in when some want to work part time or have a portfolio of roles. Which must make long standing partners wonder how they are going to cash out their share of the practice that they bought into.
