Oh also, people who applaud the removal of the mask mandate on planes will not be permitted to complain about their flights being canceled due to staff shortages in a few weeks just fyi.

Once monkeypox is detectable in the wastewater, it’s game over for eradication; the sewers are swarming with rats. And we're expected to stop going to restaurants staffed primarily by rats? Stop eating French cuisine prepared by a tiny rat controlling a human? Don't think so.

People who say it’s time to treat COVID like the Flu really mean it’s time to ignore COVID like the flu. We could also reduce flu deaths if people put in like 20% more effort there but that’s, of course, asking too much

I really don't get the "learn to live with it" crowd, because they don't want to learn anything beyond "COVID exists" and then live like they did in 2019. Learning to live with it would actually mean learning to adapt behaviors to limit it's impact...

Honestly if people want to get a little monkeypox panic and start wearing masks because their fear of facial scarring is greater than their fear of long covid/killing someone's family member....I'd take it.

I can’t say I blame airlines staff being happy they don’t have to enforce the mask rule. Seemed like a nightmare. But I’m still so worried about how many of them are going to get sick, which will also cause flight cancellations. My mask stays on.

I’m confused about the wellness community’s view of aging? Like, people who are dismissive that it’s old people dying of COVID. Is the goal of “wellness” to live forever? At what age does it switch to “ok YOU can die” and do they not realize they will one day be that age too?

The “I don’t want to be a lab rat” snide retorts to research are so frustrating. Sir, the lab rat was the lab rat, you are the human we are trying to help. If you want “evidence” and “testing” for interventions we need people to agree to test them to get the evidence.

Release yourself of the idea that getting COVID is a sign of moral failure and do what you can to make transmission stop with you. Tell people who may have been exposed so they can respond appropriately.

People on Tiktok are mad that I told them not to panic. They have a god given right to hear scientific misinformation and shit their pants about it. I should not have tried to come between them and their stress ulcers. It was rude of me.

I get that there's still shame around abortion (which we need to dismantle because it's simply another medical procedure) but you can easily be vocal in your support for reproductive rights without disclosing if you've ever been a part of an abortion!
