Unions are the vanguard of workplace safety. April 28th is the National Day of Mourning, a day dedicated to workers who’ve been killed or injured on the job. Last year almost 1000 Canadians lost their lives on the job. We've got a lot of work to do to make work safe for everyone.

Norway had 321 drug deaths in 2022. Canada had 7,328 fatal overdoses from opioids alone. Norway's pretty liberal on harm reduction, but I can tell you that they differ sharply from Canada in not pursuing a policy of "more drugs everywhere all the time."
