Rep. Chip Roy is challenging the seating of the delegations from AZ PA MI WI NV and GA, basically saying if the presidential election in those states was rigged as the president contends, then so are the elections of the House delegation.
They are now taking a recorded vote.

Rep. Jeffries calls out specific members:
"Lauren Boebert is a mess. Matt Gaetz is a mess. Marjorie Taylor Greene is a mess. Clean up your mess Kevin. Sit this one out. You've got no credibility here. We support peaceful protests."
Matthew McConaughey, at the end of his remarks at the WH podium, after talking about each of the victims of Uvalde. Where do we start?...We start by making the loss of these lives matter."
A kind reminder, because it seems necessary for some reason:
Please do not hit women.
Please do not joke about hitting women.
And please do not applaud men who talk about how hard it would be to not hit a woman.

He's putting other GOP members on record. Hard for them to say the vote for House members is valid, and then say on Wednesday that the presidential vote should be ruled invalid. It's a sideswipe at Mo Brooks' plan.
In a rare move, Rep. Maxine Waters requested a recorded vote on the suspension bill that would award the Congressional Gold Medal to Capitol Police and MPD, suggesting she wants to put members who may vote against the bill on the record.

That's 65 Republicans, give or take.

Replace “media” with “teachers” or “nurses” or “mail carriers” - if you’re disgusted by how that sentence sounds, be equally disgusted by this one.

When McConnell was asked at presser about his great-great grandfather being a slaveowner in Alabama, and whether that has changed his mind about reparations, Sen Todd Young, standing behind McConnell, turned and walked away, saying to a staffer, “I am so sick of this shit."

I'm so taken by this image. Rarely can we see into the House chamber floor through this door, and cameras are not allowed to face this way, so to have this view of Rep. Cummings at the open door of the chamber he served is just lovely.

Rep. Liz Cheney, on creation of Select Committee: “It’s important for us to make sure we have a full investigation into what happened on Jan 6. I think we should have passed a bipartisan commission. Since that didn't happen, I think it's very impt for us to have something else.”

Something I learned in this. Memorize the phone numbers of the people you love. We all just tap a button to call/text from our phone. What happens when you don’t have your own phone?
You stare at the phone of a friend or stranger and are paralyzed. “I don’t know the number.”
