Loved chatting with Vienna's classical radio station!
We also covered tech/

❄️ & other things- classical music radio being a very reasonable place for this I'm sure😇
It's being translated/dubbed into German for the air but here's some excerpts from transcript
Since the war, snowflake's network capacity went up by an order of magnitude.
Huge thanks to everyone, each and every person who volunteered as a snowflake proxy to help keep the internet free & open ❄️
I'm glad snowflake has helped many bypass online censorship globally, including unblocking Tor.
It's remarkable that the prototype I threw together years ago is what has now been working for internet freedom globally; thanks for highlighting my work ❄️💜

As founding engineer for Google Ideas (now Jigsaw), very glad to see Google finally standing strong on internet freedom. Hope they continue...
Should improve and move beyond wrapper around big tech services as we've had more decentralized methods from the beginning 💁🏻♀️
To help break the information blockade,
@Jigsaw
has a free tool called Outline that is easier to use and more reliable than VPNs. Allows anyone to set up a cloud server anywhere in the world and proxy for large numbers of individuals.

Solo'd with a symphony for the first time... Can confirm, feels good when dreams become reality 💜🎶

Today Scriabin turns 150 years old…
So I got inspired to try one of his crazy “piano poems” about taking wing and crashing into a star ☄️

There's much more to do to scale this former research project into a real production system: global censorship circumvention infrastructure
A core team is already forming. I'm hiring. Ping me if you have the chops & want to help protect internet freedom & our future
Seems this little project has had some real impact on many folks who'd otherwise be left in the dark, especially in the past month and half with iron curtain 2.0 and such situations...
We're very happy to see that Twitter is now offering an .onion address. 🐦🧅
For many years Tor users have been looking for such a feature. Thank you Twitter!
Now is a vital time to help people stay connected and .onion services help to do this.
@DanielleFong
the gifted program I was in as a 7yr old - where we had fun doing things like designing Mars missions - doesn’t exist anymore
now I play piano concerts… despite no formal training, because of the serendipity of an old bookstore in Amsterdam, & paying attention, not institutions
As we hit initial scaling limits, the dip is from the server switchover / upgrade on the tor-snowflake bridge.
Another upgrade happened recently, as we stabilize & prepare for *really* scaling this thing up, and expanding to many more use-cases...

Snowflake is by definition a concerted effort, by everyone on the internet, to keep the internet free.
I did conceive & build the original version of snowflake during an OTF research grant, demo'd it at a tor dev mtg in Valencia, and got it deployed in Tor Browser years ago
We can help prevent the splintering!
Most users circumventing censorship in Russia are now using snowflake.
Any internet user in an unfiltered region can form part of this decentralized bridge, by leaving a tab open or installing the extension 💁🏻♀️❄️
See:
We've upgraded the bridge... videos via snowflake work again (which hasn't been the case for a while given the crazy demand) Please run more snowflake proxies & help the internet stay up over there. More updates soon

Snowflake from
@kiserene
works! It’s a WebRTC proxy.
(I’m reposting from the NYC dmg).
I still haven’t dug into whether domain fronting, domain hiding, or eSNI-based techniques are working in Ukraine, but I’m curious if anyone else has.
Been averaging 1 tweet per year lately.
