Stop all those unnecessary and costly subscriptions. I got rid of Audible and 2 of my TV streaming services with these 2 free apps that require only my library card. Another free, under-used app is CBC Gem. Lots of great movie, music and news documentaries etc. Recommend!

I never understood why we don’t just create clinics adjacent to ERs — and triage points you in one direction or the other. Then no one ever has to worry if they are being overly cautious in coming to ER. Coordinate the two. It should not be up to the patient to figure it out.

A new year tradition I started a couple of years ago: review ALL of your subscriptions, including software and streaming subscriptions, etc. Get rid of most of those you do not use regularly. It’s easy to renew. If it turns out you’ve made a mistake.

The continued backlog of COVID-19 test results in Ontario is no longer acceptable. At first, was understandable. System capacity takes time to ramp up. Then, supply chain issues, harder to tackle. But now it is processing delays, 6 weeks after pandemic hit. No good excuses left

Watched my 12yr old befriend a kid from China in hotel pool. Despite only a few shared English phrases between them, they managed to construct a complex game w a ball, jointly referee it and play w/out conflict for 2+hrs. At the end they shook hands. Faith in humanity restored.

It’s been a devastating couple of weeks for our family. My father-in-law is in hospital in BC and is no longer expected to recover (not COVID related). The pandemic has meant my kids and I can’t travel to say our goodbyes or comfort my MIL, making a difficult situation worse.

Stressful day, taking my youngest with autism in for a mandatory COVID test (school exposure). He was in full panic terror mode but a WONDERFUL @CHEO nurse talked him through it and she was fast too — he was a champ. I wanted to hug her. Was a difficult day with a positive ending
