The Hillel on my campus has given me Shabbat meals and a space to pray. It’s never told me what to think about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict—if anything, the only times I’ve discussed it at Hillel, there’s been debate. It’s a place for Jewish kids to be Jewish. That’s it.
