Love is one of those things that doesn’t get lost in translation. It does not need to be unpacked in the original Greek or revised for ease of reference, it just is love.

"Go therefore and make democracies of all nations, baptizing them in the name of pluralism, teaching them to vote for whatever abominations their heart desires."
@PrestonSprinkle
If this picture of Ol' St. Nick absolutely walloping Arius at the Council of Nicaea gets more likes than your post, you need to record yourself reciting Psalm 2 in front of a government building.
@JoelWBerry
Unbelievable. You are calling Christian brothers the "most cruel and graceless people on the planet."
For what? For believing what God said? For invoking His Standard of Justice?
The rejection of the Ascension's significance is arguably one of the biggest problems with evangelicalism today.
There is a Man, a human King, currently reigning over the cosmos. This was not the case before ~30 A.D.
Oh, and He's also fully God.
@JoelWBerry
1. Judge it based on Scripture, not anecdotes.
2. Scripture demanded stoning for murder. Was that bad? Is God's law unjust? What standard are you applying beside emotionalism?
Yes, abortion is murder. I also think the abolition/

crowd is home to some of the most cruel and graceless people on the planet who’ve deluded themselves into thinking they’re kind and compassionate just because they oppose baby murder—which is the lowest possible bar.
@TJSumpter
A lot of people can't fathom that we love our parents for this; they are determined that we must secretly hold trauma-induced hatred for them.
The fact that we are actually grateful to them for it, and attribute our faithful diligence to it, makes them seethe.
@BenZeisloft
From what I can tell the Catholics have dealt with these better than us on the whole.
IVF at the least is reprehensible and should be illegal.
Hey
@JoelWBerry
, please repent of holding this position regarding abortion. You are disregarding the Word of God, and belittling a man who is advocating Biblical Justice.
I am asking you sincerely to rethink your position and be guided by Scripture rather than your feelings.
@smashbaals
Mormons will tell you this isn't in their scriptures.
I've read them. It's all in there. They just don't want you to know.
In fact, everything you've heard about Mormonism is probably true.
This is what you are up against, Christian. Watch it.
This has been happening thousands of times each day for decades. Why has it not been stopped?
Because the Church refuses to preach God's Law, Wrath, Sovereignty, and Lordship.
A gospel that allows this is no gospel.
I've heard that promoting content by
@canonpress
is free publicity.
So go watch "Is Genesis History" on Canon+ to be encouraged in the fight for Biblical Truth!
@JoelWBerry
Was that wrong? Jesus gave that law, and supported it in the NT if you need confirmation of it.
Source: Matthew 15:3-6.
The joke seems to be on you, because I am being consistent and Biblical. The question is why you won't.
It's not whether we should tear down statues, it's which statues should be torn down.
There's no neutrality in public art, Christian man. Do these displays honor the Lord?
Today, faithful Iowans gathered in the Capitol rotunda to display the Nativity and pray for peace.
Free speech is a right afforded to all. But how we use it matters.
Today’s event is proof that in the battle between good and evil, good will always prevail.
I have rarely lost so much respect for someone as quickly as I did today for
@JoelWBerry
. This is how he is treating people who simply agree with the Bible.
"Anti-human" "Psychotic" "Cruel" "Merciless" "Unoriginal" "Disobedient"
These aren't even witty. Just petty insults.
@Eric_Conn
Be nice if you provided a solution then. I'm sure there's corruption in the Adoption industry, but orphans need families.
What would be great would be actual Christian organizations involved that would work covenantally and do better vetting.
Muslims belong in Muslim countries.
Israelis belong in Israel.
Americans belong in America.
Making America into a melting pot controlled and overrun with people who have foreign loyalties has been a failed experiment.
Time for America to radically change course.
@JoelWBerry
I think it's worth noting that you were the one who called a Biblical position "psychotic and anti-human." It would seem that you "heaped spiritual guilt" over what you call a "policy difference."
By what standard do you describe our position that way? Will you support it?
@5Solas2
If we're going to abide by that version of the regulative principle, women can't have communion though. There is no explicit mention of it occurring in Scripture.
I'm not saying there aren't decent arguments for Credobaptism, but this isn't one of them.
@GuyJones1111
It kind of is a pastor's job to understand biblical political theory though. Shouldn't he be able to preach on the totality of God's will/Word?
What if a Christian had political office? Should his pastor have no council for that man?
@ScottAniol
When they come to put us in Gulags, don't you want Christians to defend each other?
Refusing to fight for the Church doesn't seem very loving.

bro you literally proved your point was false, because changing the color of this text required intelligent design lol.
Also DNA is not a spectrum like color, it is objectively certain genes and objectively not others XD
@blakecallens
You are guilty of slander. He literally condemned the fact that people think they are good, and you say he thinks they are good. He VERY obviously claimed that it was depraved.
Stop your slanderous actions.
The comments on this are somehow depressing and hilarious at the same time. 😄
Every sentence of this prayer is heretical. You belong body & soul to God alone.
@jonathanccadams
OT law also demanded stoning of rebellious teens. If you're going to claim we should adopt OT law then be consistent and adopt it all. Equal weights and measures, Jon.
@HwsEleutheroi
Pastor White, honest question. It seems like godliness and strength are being pitted against each other in this debate, perhaps by both sides.
Why wouldn't we say men should cultivate both? And does godliness, for men, not include strength?
I remember when Joel wanted Liberty and Justice for all.
Justice demands murderers be judged. Gen. 9:6.
"He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the just, both of them alike are an abomination to the Lord."
-Proverbs 17:15
Most people misunderstand the story of Jesus and the woman caught in Adultery.
Jesus was not allowed by the Law to command her stoning nor to cast a stone.
Jesus understood the Law and its purpose, the Pharisees didn't.
Jesus did not overturn the Law, he obeyed it.
@JoelWBerry
Joel, this is in good faith. It is a sin to hold ungodly scales, and to call a perfectly Biblical position "anti-human" and "psychotic."
You fail to provide any Biblical argument for your position, and have relied solely on emotion for your point. Now you are doubling down.
@JoelWBerry
@BenZeisloft
You couldn't rationally engage with a single biblical argument these godly men used.
Your arguments are based on your feelings. We agree with God that justice is impartial.
@JoelWBerry
Why are you belittling people for sticking up for Scripture? May I never have an original thought, but submit to what God has commanded in all things.
How is this a godly response to what I have said at all? I have always appreciated and respected your work.
@JoelWBerry
I have not trolled you. I have been far more respectful to you than you have to me.
You could have left it at disagreement, but you doubled down with petty insults and no legitimate engagement with Biblical direction on civil law.
Please address Genesis 9:6. Is it valid?
A new children’s show coming out Prime twists the creation story to make God the enemy and Satan the hero.
Satan “only wants to give humanity wisdom” and is merely “misunderstood.”
No show could be more clearly written by Satan himself than this
Reality
-Muslims can't have Muslim nations
-Hindus can't have Hindu nations
-Buddhists can't have Buddhist nations
But Christians can have all nations ✝️
-Muslims can have Muslim nations.
-Hindus can have Hindu nations.
-Buddhists can have Buddhist nations.
But Christians can only have secularly neutral nations that protect public displays of satanic idolatry.
It doesn’t have to be like this.
@_matthewpearson
I think the problem comes with individual application. You cannot say, "I am the bride of Christ." That's the Church collectively. Individualizing bridal imagery has lead to effeminacy in the Church historically.
Many of the Psalms demonstrate individual relation to God in song.
For those saying they didn't mean literal days:
"The word day, is taken for the day natural, consisting of twenty-four hours." -Westminster Annotations, 1645
“It pleased God the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, for the manifestation of the glory of his eternal power, wisdom, and goodness, in the beginning, to create, or make of nothing, the world, and all things therein whether visible or invisible, 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒑𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒔𝒊𝒙
506 years ago, Martin Luther nailed 95 reasons indulgences were a scam to the door of the Wittenburg Cathedral. He never guessed what would happen next.
@5Solas2
Aren't you forgetting that circumcision of the heart existed in the Old Covenant as well? Circumcision was also a sign of an invisible reality.
Mercy is granted by the one wronged. That is always God, and frequently a human victim.
If someone has been murdered, they cannot show mercy; and it is not the court's job because it was not wronged.
Because modern humanist law made crime against the state, we ended up here.
Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona just said with a completely straight face "I think it was President Reagan who said, 'We're from the government. We're here to help.’”
Death is not a natural part of life. It's a curse and is antithetical to life.
Do not treat death as if it is "normal." It is serious.
Christians, however, need not fear it.
@JoelWBerry
@smashbaals
Your theology of God's law is sorely lacking. Reformed theology posits three purposes to the law:
1. Condemnation
2. Guide for righteous living
3. Restraint of evildoers
The government is God's minister for vengeance, based on His law.
