if I see anyone mocking that kid they're gonna get blocked. I'm a stutterer myself and I can't imagine the courage this kid has -- even at 28 years old, it's a challenge.
In the Huntsville AL area, Democrats have flipped state House District 10 tonight. In 2022, Marilyn Lands (D) lost by about 7 points. This time, she won by almost 25%, sweeping nearly everything.
This was a stronger margin here than Doug Jones's 23-point spread from 2017.
Winning Georgia would be great for Dems, but they need to be prepared to do it again on Jan. 5 — and make sure it’s a straight party vote for both races.
Cal Cunningham up 49%-39% over Tillis in new SurveyUSA poll. He's *improved* since the texting scandal -- he was up 7% in the last poll.
Cunningham lost some ground with seniors, who I guess are used to having higher moral standards for electeds.

The 12 counties in

(Marjorie Taylor Greene's district) are all >99% in. The district voted 3:1 Republican but it cast 15% fewer votes than in November. This is where Trump's rally last night was.

Sun City, AZ -- one of the major retirement communities in the Phoenix metro -- saw a 6.4% swing to Biden:
2016
Trump -60.7%
Clinton -36.1%
2020
Trump -58.8%
Biden -40.6%

In 1980, three congressmen got some bad press because they went on a trip to Florida and shared a condo with this lobbyist who was evidently a hot blonde. One of them was Dan Quayle.
The line his wife used to justify it is killing me rn
In northern AZ, the precincts that make up the Hopi & Navajo nations are deep blue: Clinton and Biden each won the area by 65%. But turnout was key.
Biden's 35.6K raw vote margin was 9,500 more than Clinton's 26.1K. That accounts for almost all his 10.5K state margin over Trump.
Of the three Blue Wall states Biden flipped back, he won Michigan by the most (2.8% margin). But that was still less than what Obama carried Ohio by in 2012 (3.0%).
Obama *really* made the Midwest look bluer than it is.
Sen. McSally calls her opponent "Counterfeit Kelly" to his face, but he still addresses her by her formal title. Seems gimmicky and unbecoming of her.

Last night,
@DecisionDeskHQ
called Arizona for Biden. He got there, in large part, by flipping its most populous county, Maricopa. As with many Sun Belt metros, Biden broadly improved over Clinton but couldn't match her in Hispanic precincts. Cong. Districts are outlined.
While we're all here, I'd like to thank

This got John Bel Edwards reelected and it's what put Doug Jones over the top in 2017. Black voters are still the heart and soul of the Democratic coalition the South.
This was one of the more stunning results of the night for me. I didn't think Clayton would shift this far to the left, but it's another key story of the night. Black voters, once again, have come through in a big way for the Democratic Party.
Decision Desk HQ projects Pat Ryan (D) is the winner of the special election for U.S. House District 19 in New York, defeating Marc Molinaro (R)

Back this summer, when Warnock was struggling to break 10% in some polls, his campaign told me, “Once we get to a runoff, we’re gonna be Doug Jones 2.0.” I was skeptical at the time.
Quite a trajectory.

Democrats flipped Pennsylvania Senate District 37 tonight with
@pamforpa
, in the Pittsburgh suburbs. SD-37 was last up in 2016, when then-Sen. Guy Reschenthaler (R) won by 22% as Trump carried it by 6%. Since then, the area has trended more Democratic.

go to Likely Democratic. In both races, strong Democratic candidates are running against underfunded and controversial Republicans.
One of the biggest surprises of the 2020 election was Zapata County, TX. Trump became the first R pres. nominee since 1920 to carry this 94% Hispanic county. He got 2,032 votes there, double his 1,029 in 2016. Not a huge county, but Zapata was emblematic of his gains in the RGV.
# of towns in Minnesota that gave Trump >80% of the vote:
2016: 168
2020: 310
Most are small and can be easily drowned out by the Twin Cities on a statewide level, but this is what hurts your Collin Petersons.
In Wisconsin, Waukesha County was unambiguously crucial to Biden's coalition. Specifically, Biden's biggest gains over Gov. Tony Evers' 2018 map were in the WOW counties, around Milwaukee. Biden improved 13% in Waukesha, and it helped cancel out Trump's gains in the west.
My dad, a registered R till recently, is texting me rn saying that Tanden is a good choice. Meanwhile, my Democratic grandma (voted for Gov. Edwards and Trump) is telling me Biden is radical and he kills jobs.
Why party registration isn’t always accurate.
In 1991, when Edwin Edwards (known for his womanizing) was running against David Duke (former klansman) he said, “The only thing we have in common is we’re both wizards under the sheets.”
CRYSTAL BALL: With the early vote, and some other indicators, looking promising for Warnock (D), the Georgia runoff goes to Leans Democratic. Walker (R) will want a strong Election Day turnout tomorrow.
Note on the Pennsylvania primary: regardless of the

For

, if Mastriano (R) is nominated, that would be a gift to Josh Shapiro (D). It would go to Leans Democratic from Toss-up.

I still think of this guy whenever I go to Walmart. I was hoping to get a another picture -- where I look less scruffy -- but I'm so thankful I have this one.
Taylor Swift’s home county, Berks PA, swung 1.7% against Trump — but he improved in its largest city, Reading. Why? The city is 2/3 Hispanic.
Biden won Reading 72%-27%, down from Clinton’s 78%-19%. More evidence Biden’s struggles with Hispanics weren’t just a Sun Belt thing.
Race call: Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger (R) will win renomination with over 50% of the vote, obviating the need for a runoff.
This is a blow to former President Trump who focused his efforts on unseating the Secretary.
Why is
#PA18
so close? Lamb held 122 Clinton precincts, plus is flipping 172 Trump precincts. Not surprisingly, there were no Clinton -> Saccone precincts.
In Houston's Harris County, Biden finished slightly ahead of Clinton, but the internal movement was clear. He improved in the peripheral (whiter) areas, while slipping the minority precincts, in the south & center. I overlayed the cong. districts; there was some overlap.

Holding back tears at my desk thinking about Kay Hagan and I don't really know what to say. Very possible I wouldn't be here today without her encouragement. No one cared more about North Carolina than she did.
