The British Foreign Office can neither confirm nor deny if/how it responded to news that the CIA plotted to kidnap or murder a journalist on British soil. Senior British officials knew a plot existed, and reportedly agreed to "do the shooting". An incredibly healthy democracy.

The case has also been riven with scandals. Juan Guaidó’s UK legal costs were paid with millions of dollars already appropriated from the Venezuelan state. He has effectively used looted money to loot more money.

I'm really excited to announce Britain and the Other 9/11 - a film I'm working on with documentary filmmaker Pablo Navarrete. It's about the UK government's secret campaign against Salvador Allende, and subsequent support for the Augusto Pinochet regime in Chile.

The US government has never formally apologised for the attack. The captain of the US warship, Will C. Rogers III, was awarded the Legion of Merit for “exceptionally meritorious conduct” during his command of the ship.

This week's hearing will centre on whether the UK's recognition of Juan Guaidó allows it to transfer Venezuelan state assets to Guaidó's 'interim government'. The UK courts thus have to decide whether they can ignore the judgments of the Venezuelan Supreme Tribunal of Justice.

Not only does the US protect its war criminals, it actively celebrates its war crimes. The US military wants to name its new warship the USS Fallujah - site of some of the worst atrocities during the Iraq War.

As Israel decimates Gaza, Britain's leading oil and arms firms are set to profit from contracts with the Israeli government. Meanwhile, a number of UK MPs who voted against a ceasefire have shares in those same companies. My latest in @declassifiedUK :

A poll conducted in 2017 found that more than half of British people didn't even know there was a war in Yemen, with millions now at risk of starvation. Key reason: Britain is complicit, and it's not in Europe.
