We've seen 2,400 small boat crossings since Sunak's victory-lap press conference 16 days ago. Sending 1% of asylum seekers to Rwanda is a gimmick, not a deterrent. It'd take 300 years to clear PM's permanent backlog, with asylum seekers living in taxpayer-funded accommodation!
