Subtlety on compliments: Normal people just say "Your company is doing so well" Founders say "From the outside it looks like your company is doing so well" 🤣 They aren't being backhanded, they're just trying to be accurate with their words because they live it.

@realEstateTrent We have 2 adults 6 kids in 4000 sq ft and it feels right, bedrooms aren pretty small, but common spaces are large so kids spend a lot of time in kitchen and common space and everyone sees each other a lot. I think the architecture and layout matter more than total SQ.

Sharing an appetite for risk with your partner seems key. If both are risk averse they agree everyone else is 'crazy' If both love risk they agree everyone else is 'boring' If misaligned they feel disrespected by a partner who 'doesn't even try' to get along.
