By any metric, as a Nation, we’ve failed Indigenous Australians.
It's high time we found a better way.
That’s why I’m supporting the Voice.
To listen to Indigenous Australians about what’s best for them, and provide a seat at the table on matters that directly affect them.
As I said, I don't want to sit back in 10 years time when I'm back on the farm, thinking “you know what, if only I drove that a bit harder we might've got that”.
Well, today we got it.
Tassie, you've done it again 💜
Aurora Australis did its thing in style this morning.
I'm told there's a chance we'll see something similar tomorrow morning too 🙌

My support is clear, but I know good people can disagree respectfully on this.
My vote has the same value as everybody else, and rightfully Australians will have the final say.
What I know is that we need to move forward, with unity and purpose.
Together.
Rumour has it that today’s the day.
After decades of fighting, and being told no, time and time again.
Our team, in our colours, singing our song.
What a day to be a Tasmanian 💚💛❤️
Really sad to hear confirmation this morning, that the opposition would bin our AFL team if given the chance.
That means $130 million for York Park, gone.
Thousands of jobs, gone.
Housing for our health workers, gone.
$360 million for local football, gone.
We’re 100 per cent behind the Matildas.
But we won’t supporting a public holiday.
Our small businesses are often the first to sponsor and support our grassroots and elite sports.
It’s too much to expect them to shoulder this cost too.
There is no place in Tasmania for racism. Full stop.
John Kamara has a fundamental right to be judged on the merit of his ideas, not his ethnicity.
The attacks directed at him, for putting his hand up to represent his community are abhorrent and have no place in Tasmania.
Lower taxes, cheaper power and a State that backs small business.
If any Victorian businesses want a better deal, to provide jobs and opportunity to Tasmanians, we’ll welcome you with open arms 🤝
Today, Foo Fighters have joined the list of major acts Tassie is missing out on.
If only we had somewhere to host them, and 30,000 fans 🤷♂️
We're going to keep fighting, until we have what every other State has.
Tasmanians deserve that.
Nothing brings Tasmanians together like being spoken down to by entitled mainlanders, ignorant of our beautiful state.
Looking forward to doing our own talking on the footy field. In our colours. Singing our song.
Our time has come.
Discussions with Warner Bros about potentially using the Tasmanian Devils name are ongoing.
But, let’s face it, it’s our animal, and we’ll use it if we want.
It’s Tasmanians team, so we’ll get together as a State soon and choose a name.
Today we're releasing the deal that secures our AFL team.
I've always said we'd make it available, and I want all Tasmanians to see the great investment that it is.
Good afternoon everyone!
Just reaching out to let you all know that we’ve reached an agreement with the Jacqui Lambie Network to deliver the stability and certainty Tasmania deserves.
On behalf of our family, we announce the passing of our dear Dad, Rick.
In our eyes, Dad was a legend, a loyal, caring and proud Dad, Grandfather and loving Husband of our gorgeous mum Gerry for over 55 years.
Now that we’ve secured our own AFL team, what do you all think we should call it?
To those that have suggested it, I can confirm the Tassie Turbochooks won’t be an option 😂
In fighting for this deal, I wasn’t going to have Northern Tassie missing out.
We’re about to kick off $130 million in upgrades at UTAS Stadium, the biggest upgrade in 100 years of footy at the ground.
It's not every day that a Tasmanian becomes a Queen.
So on Sunday night, we'll be lighting the Tasman Bridge red and white to celebrate our very own Princess Mary, as she becomes Queen of Denmark ❤️🤍

Don’t be fooled by the blockers, as dodgy as some of their efforts may be 😂
We’re still working on the designs for Mac Point, but here’s the real stadium outline from waterfront.
Something worth fighting for.
It’s time for our team, in our colours, singing our song.
That’s why we’re upgrading UTAS Stadium, Dial Park, and providing funding for a new Precinct at Mac Point in the South. The Mac Point urban renewal project is a game changer for the State👇
There’s still a lot of votes to be counted, but it looks like an historic fourth term of Liberal Government has been secured for our great State.
Thank you, everyone! 💙💙
We’re just getting started 💪
It’s no wonder Far North Queensland and the Northern Territory are lining up to snatch away Tasmania’s AFL license.
A direct result of Rebecca White's campaign to kill off our team.
To her and
@TasmanianLabor
.
Stand up for Tasmania!
This time in a couple of short years, we’ll be knocking off and heading down to watch our Tassie team beat Hawthorn, and Collingwood, even my own Carlton under lights at York Park and Mac Point.
Extra funding for health, housing and education, gone.
We live in the best place on the planet, but we need to keep building things that generate wealth for the State. Only then can we continue investing record amounts back into our essential services.
I reckon it's just fantastic that The Map is so proudly emblazoned on the front!! 💚💛❤️
I’ve read many views, but I believe it’s a fabulous way to honour our AFL heritage.
It was great to catch up with the PM
@AlboMP
today to discuss the business case for the Mac Point urban renewal project. A very constructive meeting about the economic and social benefits that would flow to Tasmania.
The Tasmanian AFL Club’s High Performance Centre will be based at Rosny! 🙌
We’ll be getting the ball rolling on the $70M Centre immediately, so we can deliver our AFL and AFLW teams, as well as the local community a world-class facility.
Can you imagine what that’s going to do for the State?
Well, it’s not a dream anymore. It’s a reality that we’ve fought for, and have finally achieved.
If we stick together, and move forward united 💚❤️💛
We’ve secured a $240 million investment to transform Mac Point, into something we can all be proud of.
The entire precinct will contain housing for health workers, community facilities and a multi-purpose stadium that unlocks Tassie’s very own AFL team.
We need more local news, and more local reporters in our community, not less.
Which is why I’m absolutely not a fan of
@abcnews
pulling out of our local Sunday night news.
Tasmanian taxpayers fund the ABC, surely we can expect more than a Mainland news?
A massive day for Tassie 🤝
We've just beaten the other states to secure Bell Bay as the preferred site for a new $2 billion advanced manufacturing facility.
It'll mean 800 jobs during construction, 400+ full-time advanced manufacturing jobs in the North.
This is going to turbocharge the Tasmanian economy for decades, and allow us to continue investing record amounts into health, housing and education.
Because Tasmanians deserve what every other state has.
And it’s the right thing to do.
Quick one from me- I’ll be doing a quick round trip to QLD to get my daughters settled.
While dad-duties call, I’ll still be keeping up with all of my work responsibilities 👍👍
It was unanimously agreed that in the light of this, it was appropriate for me to request the Governor to call a general election.
So that's what I'll be doing.
Today, we took a massive step in our journey towards watching our Tasmanian AFL team run out on Round 1, 2028.
I couldn’t be prouder of how Tasmanians are coming together to see this through.
They can see what this is going to do for our State, for our kids.

Congratulations to all those selected, as well as their families and coaches 🙌
Good on you Painey ❤️
@tdpaine36
is hanging up the boots today, after a remarkable career.
There are juniors coming through the ranks right now, from Smithton to Sorell, who want to grow up and play like Painey. That’s a legacy he can be truly proud of 👍
Today, we’re delivering the largest health investment in Tasmanian history.
Over the next four years, we’re going to invest $12.1 billion into our health system, an average of $8.28 million every single day.
There’s not much that leaves me speechless anymore.
Today, Paul reminded me it’s still possible.
For the last 8 years, Paul’s has run a kitchen here in Devonport.
A couple of times a week he opens his doors to anyone who needs a hot meal, and a chat.
A lot being said about our Jack today.
All I’d like to add is that, in my experience, he’s an even better human than he is a footballer.
And he’ll be remembered as one of the greatest Tasmanians to ever lace up the boots.
My thoughts are with the people of Baltimore this morning, as well as all those Tasmanians still affected by what happened here all those years ago.
A day to reflect.
After National Cabinet, we’ve secured an additional $50 million for housing here in Tassie 🙌
Not over the next decade, but hitting our bank account in the next two weeks.
It also outlines more than $350 million in investment that we've secured from the AFL for local footy in Tasmania.
Now let's move forward, together, and get on with building our AFL dream 👍
Morning everyone,
Today marks a year since I became Premier of Tasmania.
The time has absolutely flown by, because I get to represent the best people, in the best place in the world.
Tassie’s strength has always been its people ♥️
So I just wanted to pass along a big thank you.
In terms of what I will do, I want to be clear.
The only way Parliament resumes is if Ms Archer resigns as she initially committed, or she provides a written guarantee of confidence and supply
We will not be returning to Parliament unless either of these two actions occurs.
Great to catch up with our inaugural AFL Chairman, Grant O’Brien.
Grant’s hit the ground running and will have some exciting news to share soon, as we start building our very own AFL club 💚💛❤️
I’m so proud to see everyday Tasmanians standing up and calling out this nonsense.
People want to see their own team, in our colours, running out on Mac Point, and an upgraded York Park.
We’ll keep fighting for them, because we're builders, not blockers 👍
150,000 punters have flocked to the opening weekend of Dark Mofo.
It's safe to say that Tassie has what the rest of the world wants, and we've got it in spades! 🙌
A bit of good news as the sun comes up ☀️
Tasmania has been named as one of the best places to visit in the world by the
@nytimes
.
And from what I can see, it's only getting better 👍👍

The old Cadbury tours hold a very special place in the hearts of many Tasmanians, mine included.
That absolute joy of visiting with your family, and coming home with pockets full of Cadbury chocolate.
Well, we're going to invest in a marvellous creation of our own.
Make no mistake, this is our last chance to see our team, in our colours, singing our song.
The dream is there for us to grasp, if we can have the courage to put petty politics aside and move forward together.
My heart goes out to everyone affected by the tragedy in NSW today.
As more information emerges, it's clear that the heroism of those who responded has saved many, many lives.
Under the very worst of circumstances they have shown the best of what it is to be Australian 🇦🇺
What a day it was yesterday Tassie!
Doing the rounds on
@sunriseon7
and
@TheTodayShow
bright and early this morning, telling the rest of the country how exciting it is that Tassie's time has finally come.
Let's stick together and get this done 🙌
Two sleeps until the biggest festival in town kicks off.
The town's been painted red in preparation.
Further proof that we're capable of incredible things here in Tassie.
See you when you get here 🙌

This afternoon I received advice from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions that I have not breached Section 70(2) of the Criminal Code.
I will continue to always put Tasmania’s interests first.
Mainlanders,
We know you’re in on our secret, we’ve seen the bookings.
In preparation, the puffer vest shops have been fully stocked, and the beaches are looking like this.
It might be going to get a little chilly.
But it’s time to fire up 🔥
See you when you get here.
It’s high time that the Tasmanian Labor Party come out of the shadows and tell Tasmanians whether they’re going to kill our team.
No more weasel words, just a simple yes or no.
Our next generation, and those who have fought so hard for this team deserve that respect.
No health workers will have to pay back their Frontline Covid bonus.
I know some were paid it who weren’t eligible, and have been asked to pay it back.
And I’m saying now, it’s not happening.
It’s our mistake and we’ll own it.
