There is a lot of weird discourse happening in 🇨🇦 & around the world right now. You cannot be a bystander. Stand up for truth, science, tolerance, informed opinion, and civil discourse. Fight with words and arguments. A just society does not happen on its own. Educate your kids.

. @PierrePoilievre calling this "a coalition attack on our freedom and our country," is a great example of misinformation, not to mention utter BS. The way to win back respect for politicians is to stop this kind of crap.

This is a passport that has erased Canadian culture and history. Replaced by generic images that ignore our past and shared experiences as a country. But this is typical of the Trudeau government which does not value history.

By the way, having 35 kids in an online course is absurd. Online courses require tons of contact time between teacher and student to build relationships. Unless you want a student doing what is effectively a correspondence course, this set up will fail kids.

1. I love how you call her by her first name when she is a former prime minister. 2. I love how you then call her a "poser"-- see point #1 3. You get Ms. Campbell's party affiliation wrong. 4. This is what is wrong with civil debate on twitter-- it kind of does not exist.

Congratulations to @dundurnpress founder Kirk Howard for his appointment to the Order of Canada. Few have done more to promote Canadian history, politics and culture in the publishing industry. I am grateful to him.

I'm thinking of doing an online tutorial for kids about how to load a dishwasher properly. You know, so they don't put the plates where the bowls go, load it from back to front in some sort of order. Interested?

Headline writers: "both sides of the aisle" is an American expression. We talk about "both sides of the floor" or "both sides of the House." Do better, @globeandmail . I'm sure @JohnIbbitson shuddered when he saw this headline (writers don't write them)

Since the Globe and Mail did not run a cartoon for Remembrance Day today, here is one by Brian Gable from 2021. #LestWeForget

With 35 in an online course, it's clear this is about saving money, not giving students an interesting option that allows for flexibility.

A huge amount of time is spent corralling students to get their work in. It's like herding cats at times. These courses work best for self selected students who are motivated to learn this way.

Would be better if his name was spelled correctly. The kid in short pants who wrote this tweet obviously didn't take his Canadian history studies very seriously.
