I say all the time that her and Usher’s voices have aged very well. They’re the prime examples of what taking care of your voice and still being able to deliver beautifully after 30 years looks like 🤎
24 years ago, on March 31, 1995, Selena Quintanilla-Pérez was shot and killed at just 23 years old. Forever a staple in music, forever a fashion icon, forever an iconic talent, forever the Queen of Tejano 🌹
Angela Bassett played the roles of Katherine Jackson, Betty Shabazz, and Tina Turner back to back. Literally the day the last episode of the Jacksons: An American Dream miniseries premiered, was the same day ‘Malcolm X’ was released. She was on a roll at that time. WHEW!
Ah, yes! “Diva week” is approaching! These ladies are the reason why I actually like Aries 😊🩷

To be a Whitney, Mariah, and/or Janet fan in the 90s had to be the greatest time ever. The content they were dropping was elite, they were serving LOOKS on several occasions, they were breaking records left and right, I mean….WOW. Forever thee IT women.
2018 has officially been the year of Janet Jackson 👑. Billboard icon award, Radio Disney impact award, BGR Rockstar award, BMI Icon award, EMA global icon award, Mama/Mnet worldwide inspiration award and now FINALLY a Rock and Roll hall of fame inductee 😭🙌🏾
If you’re not educated or up to speed on Janet Jackson, her talent, or her impact in this day and age…then that is totally YOUR problem. I’ll be damned if I sit up here and argue with people who are willfully ignorant. Not me!
Imagine having THEE Whitney Houston wanting to work with you, and THEE Janet Jackson admiring your talents as well. Aaliyah was truly a different breed. Truly.
Thinking about how Janet Jackson, Tina Turner, & Quincy Jones gave us 3 of the greatest documentaries in recent years. Legends telling their own stories >>>>>>>
My first concert was tonight and it was a Janet Jackson concert and it was EVERYTHING. I’m moved, full, amazed, SPEECHLESS. Janet, the woman that you are!!! 🤧🐐
If there’s still people in 2021 who think that Janet Jackson has no impact, no hits, or no vocal talent...then just send them on their way because how foolish can you be?!
Janet’s resilience is really something, man. They really tried so hard to break her. She’s getting the last laugh though come January 2022.
#JusticeforJanet
I don’t think Janet’s doc will be a “tell all” but I do think it will be a “tell a lot.” Either way, I am ready to hear what she has to say. I’m ready to hear what those closest to her have to say. This documentary is gonna be a journey!
Janet Jackson, Diana Ross, and Whitney Houston will always be my favorite show-women! The craft and stage presence of these 3 will always be so legendary 👑
Janet Jackson is coming and we all should be very excited. We’re about to witness the Queen of queens in her next era and I just know it’s gonna be a great one.
Janet is literally the most unproblematic celebrity there is. Like imagine trying to create a false beef between her and literally anybody. LOL the jokes write themselves…
Do siblings tease each other? Yes. Can some of the nicknames and joking go too far? YES. That’s my take away from Janet’s brothers calling her those nasty nicknames. Those names clearly hurt her and left a lasting mark..She’s entitled to share that. Let’s not be dense here.
You’ve never seen a person receive the most unnecessary hate and slander and still remain so gracious through it all. But that’s Janet Jackson for you.
The MICHAEL JACKSON Video Vanguard Award. When you have the greatest music videos of all time to your credit, it’s only right that an award recognizing other great videos is named after you. The erasure of Michael’s impact and legacy will never prosper.
Janet really started crying within the first 50 seconds of the doc and made ME start crying within the first 50 seconds of the doc 😭like girl, I haven’t even started eating my snacks yet 😩
