So after 6 months of chemo it's all over. I got my last treatment today at The Beatson. Now I can recover and start to get back to a normal life. A HUGE thanks to all my friends who gave me messages of support during this time. 😌

Got results of my scan today while I’m getting my more chemo. Looks like the treatment is working. The scan was almost clear. Great news. Only 2 more treatments after this one and I can get on with my life #veryHappy

So today was a special moment for me. The first time I have ran in 5 years. The chemo I received 5 years ago caused peripheral neuropathy (limited feeling in feet) but today I managed 5 mins jogging during my 5 mile walk. Tomorrow maybe 6 mins

10 years ago today I went for an MRI for a bad back. What it showed was a tumour round my spine which was causing the pain. 2 chemo & 2 radiotherapy treatments later I'm still here and today my consultant phoned to say "See you in 6 months"

📈 Latest scan shows 'Minimal residual disease' so the outcome of my chemo treatment is very successful. I know it will never go away but hopefully it will now be a number of years before I need treatment again 😌 #BackToNormal #KeepingOnTopOfCancer

It’s that time again. My six month check up at The Beatson. Some people ask me why I cover so much football. It’s because one day my consultant will tell me that my bad blood levels have gone up so much I will need more chemo or even worse. Until that day I will enjoy every day.

So a wee update on the health. Just had a telephone conversation with my consultant. As all my blood levels are great (including kidneys which were a worry for a while) so she doesn't need to see me for 4 months. I knew that daily walking would pay off #KeepingCancerAway

I've been shielding for 19 week now and decided early on that I needed to get out for a walk to keep my mental heath on an even keel. So today was my 100 walk on Eaglesham Moor. Hardly ever meet anyone so quite safe. 100 x 6 that's 600 miles I've walked and 20 lbs lost. 😁
