Buttigieg smiled and held the man's hand for a while, until he put it together. "Pete!" He was excited and lit up when he realized @Chasten was there, too. They chatted for a min and then went their separate ways.

Just asked Senate Ag Chairman @PatRoberts if he's taken a look at the Trump administration's plan to move SNAP from USDA to HHS. “I haven’t looked at it because we’re not going to do it." [long pause] "Is that succinct enough for you?”

Thread >> Five years ago, I started recording audio on my phone of my beloved grandma Helen talking about her life. Each time I visited her in PA, I asked a few questions while we cooked or putzed. What's your earliest memory? Have you always been interested in politics?

The White House suggested last week USDA doesn’t have *$1.7 billion* to cover gap in food stamps for nearly 39 million people in February. Earlier this year, USDA was able to pledge *$12 billion* in trade aid for farmers w/o getting any new money from Congress.

FDA only inspected 3 of the country's 23 infant formula plants in 2020, per AP. (These inspections usually happen at least 1/year) That means someone decided that infant formula wasn't "mission critical" during pandemic. Many Qs about that decision.
