What are some books or book series that got you into reading? For me, it was the Alanna series by Tamora Pierce, which I remember checking out from the library as a kid randomly and falling in love. And also Animorphs, which my third grade teacher read aloud to us.

This whole thread is amazing. 🔥 Publishing is NOT a meritocracy. A book deal or an offer of rep is not a prize for writing a good book. In trad pub, it comes down to the ~market~ and profit margins. You hit it or you don’t. You might hit it with one book but not another.

@hlosial If I feel like something is query-ready, I won’t take it on for #RevPit since it’s our goal to help writers get their ms ready for querying. If I don’t choose someone specifically bc I feel it is query-ready, I’ll let people know! Whether they query me is their choice! 😉
