The Captains of the Rangers since I started watching:
Jagr: One of the best players of all time
Drury: Signed Vincent Trocheck
Callahan: The heart and soul of the Rangers
McDonagh: Best defenseman we had since Leetch at the time
Trouba:
I’m so sick of all these excuses that are like Pittsburgh didn’t have Jarry, Carolina didn’t have Andersen, Tampa doesn’t have Point. Okay and? McKegg has still yet to play a playoff game and you don’t see us complaining. Don’t make us break out our secret weapon.

Twitter said Igor hasn’t been himself now he’s been lights out second round. They called out Mika, he put up 4 points in game 6. They called out Panarin, scored the OT winner game 7. They called out Frank and Copp, combined 5 points last game. Rangers Twitter, who’s next???

are playing the 27th rank Ottawa Senators tonight which means easy win… and by easy win I mean the Rangers play down to them the whole game, tie it with 45 seconds left then win in OT in usual Ranger heart attack inducing fashion

The Rangers have signed, possibly Goodrow’s replacement, Riley Nash. My biggest take from this is we will 100% get a call from Sam Rosen saying “Rick Nash” instead of Riley and it will be glorious.
Igor Shesterkin tonight:
36 SVs
39 SA
.923 sv%
4.362 xGA
Left out to dry (story of his life) in the first period, but he stepped up when the team needed him to (also story of his life).
I've seen too many fans turning on this man recently

If I’m Laviolette, I’m slotting Lindgren on the wing with Trocheck and Panarin until he scores and takes Charlie out of the series. Chess not checkers.
The Edmonton Oilers are reportedly interested in New York Rangers forward Greg McKegg. Rangers GM, Chris Drury, reluctant to trade McKegg, has listed an asking price of a franchise center, mid round draft pick, and a B level prospect. More to come soon

Patrick Kane has been such a bad fit for the Rangers that he’s been on the ice for their last 5 goals scored. Not even their last 6… The guy is unbelievably washed
A big topic of discussion due to all the Rangers’ records Chris Kreider has been breaking is will his number end up being retired?
This question leads me to a different one. You know who is only 19 points behind Kreider in Rangers points?
Mika Zibanejad.
Series tied up. It’s basically just a best of 3 where the Rangers play 2 games at home. I love those odds. Stay confident, Igor will drive us straight to the holy land.

You know what’s funny? Everyone talks about how the Rangers are horrible at prospect development and I’m not necessarily disagreeing but they might win the Presidents’ Trophy this season with 11 guys on the roster who have only played for the Rangers.
I know the Reaves fan boys aren’t going to like this one but I’d love to see a Motte-Rooney-Goodrow 4th line in the playoffs. They’d out work anyone else, it would be a lot of fun to watch.

Players I’d rather have on the first line other than Blake Wheeler in order:
-Kakko
-Cuylle
-Othmann
-Vesey
-Dryden Hunt
-Artem Anisimov
-My mailman Jeff (he has nice flow he’s probably better than Wheeler)
My Rangers Devils team combined:
Kreider-Zibanejad-Kane
Panarin-Trocheck-Tarasenko
Lafreniere-Chytil-Kakko
Vesey-Hughes-Motte
Lindgren-Fox
Miller-Trouba
Hamilton-Schneider
Shesterkin
Halak
Let me know what you guys think!
18 games left for the

42 goals on the season for Chris Kreider. Is the guy who could never hit 30 goals gonna hit 50 this year? 8 goals in 18 games is very doable.

Game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals. Rangers vs Stars. Benn takes a costly penalty. The Rangers are up a man. Fox puts it right in Mika’s wheel house. Goal Mika Zibanejad! THE RANGERS ARE STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS!
Rangers Twitter: What a PP merchant, guy sucks, trade him.
Gabe Perreault: Tied for 3rd in points and points per game in the NCAA
Brennan Othmann: Tied for 7th in points for rookies in the AHL
Brett Berard: 4th in goals for rookies in the AHL & tied for 1st in goals for the Wolf Pack
Don’t trade these guys for rentals pls
Wanna talk about a playoff performer?
Look at this Dylan Garand stat.
In 73 regular season AHL games he has a .895 save percentage.
In 13 AHL playoff games he has a save percentage of .930 ‼️‼️‼️
So happy we gave Quick another year so he can continue to develop.
It’s Friday afternoon,
You see the Rangers traded Brennan Othmann, Matthew Robertson and this year’s 1st round pick for Jake Guentzel. He immediately signs a 6 year 45 million dollar deal.
Life is good.
In honor of today here’s an All American Rangers lineup from the 2000’s:
Kreider-Stepan-Callahan
JT Miller-Dubinsky-Kane
Hayes-Drury-Wheeler
Vesey-Boyle-Copp/Vatrano
Leetch-Fox
Lindgren-Trouba
Skjei-Deangelo
Richter
Quick
Kreider and Mika with a combined 8 points in 3 playoff games. Not to mention both of them being lights out on the penalty kill.
I thought all they did was hug tho? 🤔
This was from 10 months ago lol. Can we stop with the BS of he’s not good, he just has unconditional love from the fanbase!
Four great seasons in a row and now he has his first meh season and everyone’s so willing to turn on him.
It’s pathetic lol.
So let me get this straight, Laf gets that top line wing spot and then once he finally starts getting consistent points playing on that line, he’s taken off? His longest career point streak and he’s demoted? I don’t like it.
#NYR
Friendly reminder that if you’re a “Rangers fan” your team gets to play playoff hockey tonight. How about you don’t take that for granted and enjoy it while we’re still in it. Rangers in 6, speak it into existence.
Big props to Laviolette for playing Jones over Ruhwedel.
He must have been seeing what we’ve been seeing in games recently in practice everyday.
Also props to Jones himself! If he can be a solid third pair guy for us, it will help us so much next season regarding cap space.
I know we’ve all seen preseason Sammy Blais and have seen the offensive potential he may possess. But with that being said, do we really feel good penciling in a 26 year old who’s never even hit 16 points in a season in our top 9??

Forgot about the Duke too.
I was so high on him and was so tight when the Rangers traded him for Yandle.
Every defensive zone turnover from Yands reminded me of the horrific trade. Which was often… so often.
In all seriousness anyone else impressed with how solid Harpur has been? He’s been playing very sheltered minutes but he’s been super quiet which is great for a defensive dman. I was getting Tinordi Bitetto vibes from him but maybe he can keep this play up.
What’s more embarrassing?
Option A) A 30 year old chasing a 21 year old around the ice.
Option B) A 235lb man who can’t hold 35lbs over his head without falling over.
