Heard this 1000 times, but it’s FACT. I root for OSU because I grew up in Corvallis, went to and graduated from OSU, and there are 10 OSU degrees from 7 people in my family (1 minor, 1 masters, 8 bachelors). You root for Oregon because you picked up the shirt from Kmart in 09.

Don’t forget Oregon’s was in 1939 and Washington’s were claimed, not won. Gonzaga is 0-2. Essentially, OSU is the only NW team to win a national championship game, and we’ve won 3.

Washington State finishes 12-0. Oregon State finishes 11-1 with only loss to Washington State. Oregon State beats Washington State in Pac 12 title game. Both teams play for a third time in the Rose Bowl in the college football playoff to go to the national championship.

OSU was top 10 in the country in November, lost to Washington by 2, went 8 and 5, beat the defending champs Utah all while having a coach who had 1 foot out the door! While, this year didn’t meet my expectations, which I blame Smith for, I am so proud of our players!

I just want OSU to be 9-1 going into Washington and whatever happens those last two games, happens. OSU is 14-1 at home since the start of 2021, so while Washington looks unbeatable, we can beat them. @ Cal UCLA @ UA @ CU Stanford Quite manageable.

OSU options have always been… 1) Use Pac 12 assets to buy your way into the Big 12 immediately or after one or two independent years. 2) If 1 doesn’t work, make the Pac 12 the best G5 conference so our champion always gets into the CFP. Literally nothing has changed.

The truth of the whole thing is OSU hasn’t been to a bowl game since 2013 and has a chance to beat a last place north team (Stanford) they haven’t beaten since 2009 to become bowl eligible. If you gave me 5-4 (3-3) at the beginning of the season with 3 to play I take it.

OSU struggles under Oregon for 15 years. OSU hires the right coach and wins 2 out of 3. Oregon leaves just as OSU is about to be legit. Now OSU is without a home and may not be able to retain their coach losing out on all the epic seasons we waited so long for. 💔
