Most London street trees lead a sad life - branches clipped by buses, iron tree guards used as handy rubbish bins, and of course peed on by passing dogs and drunks. So here’s a magnificent example for #NationalTreeWeek - the enormous plane tree outside the Dorchester hotel 🙂

Farringdon Station - as it was before all the alterations to accommodate Thameslink. As always, it’s so much safer, cleaner and more efficient to use these days but I can’t help feeling that some of the romance of train travel has been lost 🙁
