This take couldn't be more correct. The existence of manascrew is a feature that allows any Small ChildTM to beat @Jonnymagic00 ... Sometimes. Its very existence gives rise to creative approaches to deck design from the Sligh mana curve to the Comer Xerox.

Getting mana screwed is a feature of Magic, not a bug and trying to hard to eliminate mana screw/flood has potential to be more harmful to the game than the occasional non-game due to mana issues.

If you’re consistently getting topdecked the turn before you’re about to win, the likelihood is not that you’re getting unlucky. More likely you’re missing points early and giving your opponents those topdecks that they neither earned nor deserved.

@misterorange I also watched @G3RRYT storm back from 0-2 in a turn 4 kill format with subtle card draws and an extraordinarily keen ability to build small advantages. I also have seen 100 rush kills. This displays the range of the format and THAT /IS/ good Magic

This past weekend was chock full of Pro Tour Champions! @OlleRade ⁩ probably signed more Sylvan Safekeepers, but I’ll now always cherish my set of Urza’s Baubles. “Remember Columbus”
