Today is the 150th birthday of the Finborough Arms! Although the building was built in 1868, it took three years for the pub to get their alcohol licence which was eventually granted on 22 March 1871.

SOPHIE SWITHINBANK WINS PEGGY RAMSAY AWARD
Sophie has been awarded the Peggy Ramsay Foundation and Film4 23 Playwrights’ Scheme bursary for her play BACON.
She will now embark upon a one-year attachment with us, and over the next 12 months, write at least one full-length play.
"With no tickets on sale at the moment and no government support, we are relying entirely on the generosity of our audiences to support another 40 years of vibrant new writing and unique rediscoveries."

were on Equity Contract Minimums or paid considerably better. Before it was cancelled, 2020 would have been 11 shows out of 12. For the record, too, our Resident Assistant Director scheme ended 5 years ago.

Congratulations to Edmund Dehn for receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award from London Pub Theatres! Edmund has been involved with more Finborough Theatre productions than any other actor and even starred in our first ever show, Joe, in 1980.
