Eric took a ride around Green Bay before the show last night to see what fans had on the grill, hand out some pit tickets, and stop in for some pictures! Make sure to be on the lookout in your city, you never know who might show up.
Last night we threw it back to the kind of show that made Eric who he is - intimate, no-nonsense, full throttle action with 6000 sinners. The Nats were praised & hell was raised, and we’re ready to do it again tonight!
Last night we did something that we've never done before. We played the entire Mr. Misunderstood and Chief albums from top to bottom. Thank you to those who joined us for such a special weekend.
Show recap by Adam Lucas:
Night 27 of…
Eric got in the Halloween spirit last night impersonating an usher, fake beard and all! Some fans knew right away, others never caught on - but everyone ended up in the pit!
“I can remember my dad had that beige Pontiac, ugly as hell, it had the bench seats in the back. This was before you had to buckle up…I remember standing in those seats and honestly bouncing down whatever road we were on.” Hear Eric Church talk about writing “Hippie Radio” now.
"It will always be a song that I think about where I was at that time in my life, where my kids were, and just how that little bit of light is what made the difference."
Hear Eric talk about writing the song "Monsters" now.
“Solid,” the 9th track from the upcoming album Desperate Man previewed exclusively to The Church Choir yesterday. The full album will be available everywhere on October 5.
In a message sent to the Church Choir earlier today, Eric made a special announcement. Church Choir pre-order begins Thursday, January 28. Public pre-order begins Friday, January 29.
“I think it’s really interesting that the album took on an identity that allowed ‘Some of It’ to make it from where it started to where it is now, and it just fit in the dialogue. To me, it made the album.” Listen to Eric Church talk about the song "Some Of It" now.
A short preview of "Hippie Radio" from the upcoming album Desperate Man premiered exclusively with the Church Choir yesterday. New paid memberships to the Church Choir include your choice of an album from Eric's catalog along with many other benefits.
We shall rage, we shall roar, we will gather again….
The Gather Again Tour is coming, visit for details and to join the Church Choir for access to presale tickets.

From all of us to all of you, THANK YOU for an amazing year on the Double Down Tour! It’s been memorable and we can’t wait to get back out and see everyone real soon.

Last winter, Eric and the band went to the studio in the mountains of North Carolina to record “Stick That In Your Country Song.”

"Church’s response is to ask for more whiskey, and send roaring electric guitar noise up to the heavens. It may not be a sustainable response, but it’s a wholly reasonable one."

So much happens so fast in this life that I live. It’s easy to forget things living in fast forward. Singing Hallelujah at Red Rocks and hearing the entire crowd sing it back to me is something that I’ll never forget. It was timeless. It was magical. It was perfect.
“That song really speaks, to me, to their concern for their life. The ‘bartender if you’re with me pour some whiskey on this drowning man,’ is a Friday or Saturday night refrain in most cities in this country.”
Hear Eric Church talk about the song "Drowning Man" now.
Eric and the band got a rare chance to get away for a couple of hours on a show day to take in the scenery around Calgary! Thank you for everything Canada, this was a weekend we'll never forget.
