We were told snow days were eliminated by @NYCSchools in lieu of remote. We are in the midst of a “viral blizzard” where scls for at least 2 weeks will be half-staffed, lightly attended w/mass coverages in many scls. 2 weeks of subs? Prioritize lives, infrastructure & healthcare.

Paras in this proposed new @UFT contract still do not get a living wage in NYC. Then to hear Mulgrew call the retention bonuses … “equity bonuses” is inconsistent with anything we know about EQUITY. Giving all the titles the same amount in retention bonuses is NOT EQUITY.

The @DC37nyc (& subsequent other city unions) giveback is forcing RETIREES into AETNA MEDICARE ADVANTAGE plan.For raises that are pay cuts w/ inflation. They will mortgage lives of seniors with its slew of preauthorizations for pay cuts. Wait till we see the new plan for actives!
