Husky baseball is family and we almost lost @jacobmercer2003 3 and 1/2 years ago to a brain tumor. Today he picked up his first varsity win on the mound and we all lost some tears after the game. Thanks Big Merc on showing us what determination and perseverance is all about.

Huskies pick up up the win 11-0 tonight over Bosse. Jake Mercer got his first career win on the mound going 3 IP allowing no hits and 5 K’s. Reece Grisham came in and allowed no hits and 4 K’s. North now 12-1 and return to action Thur at 4:00 at Bosse Field.

Dad felt bad and missed her HR last week but she came back and gave me two today! Great weekend for the Fusion girls going 5-1 and losing in the championship game. Heck of a weekend for Kennedy, proud dad gotta toot the horn…….9-15 with 2 2B, 2 HR’s, and 16 RBI’s.

Proud coach moment......after a gut wrenching first loss of the year to Castle last night, players were told to report to the field at 9:00 am for an 11:00 am game.......by 8:25 am 12 guys were already in cages hitting.....and most of those stayed till 9:30 pm last night hitting

Huskies wait a bit but pull out a 14-4 win in 5 inn over Vincennes Lincoln on Senior Night! Landon Shellhaas was 3-3 w 3 RBI’s and Rylee Singleton went DEEP dead center for a HR, he went 2-3 w 2 RBI’s. Cooper Chinn struck out 9 and picked up the win on the mound. North now 16-3

Huskies win 10-6 on senior night over Harrison! Huskies jumped on top early as Cooper Blythe had two hits and two RBI’s and Kyle Carpenter had two RBI’s. Carpenter went 5 IP allowing only 1 ER for the W. North now 21-4 on the year and host Bloomington So on Monday 5:00.

I can’t remember a more anticipated season of high school baseball. The arms in Southern Indiana are incredible. In our 4A sectional there are 5 D1 pitchers….basically the same in the 4A New Albany sectional. Crazy good baseball on tap, going to great year to watch HS baseball!

Was lucky enough in the late 90’s broadcasting program at USI to call Men/Women’s USI Basketball on the radio for three years…both teams won at a 90% clip, but we broadcast at some absolute dives. Now sitting in the basement watching them play ND and other D1’s is rather surreal

Senior night is always tear jerker, even for me…….so proud of this group, have battled and grinded out wins all year. Everyday is a different hero and they have an incredible work ethic. Thankful for our amazing coaching staff and players, this group bleeds North Baseball.

Huskies go rally mode and erase a 6-2 deficit in the 5th to win 11-6 over North Posey. Aidan Liddle and Bryce Minton combined for 6 RBI’s and 2 hits each, and Cole Decker and Drew Lichtenberg had 2 hits each. Conner Watson picked up the W in relief. North finishes reg season 22-6

Love this, it’s called accountability......Coach Izzo getting the most out of his players. Coaching is about knowing your kids and how they react to you as a coach. If you don’t like what he is doing then athletics is probably not for you.

Why should USI go D-1…….being able to watch them on TV is crazy awesome and having a chance to play against the big boys is so freakin cool. Loved the move, now finish off the Dukies……go Eagles!!!!!!!!!
