Good morning Manila! So that was a very environmentally unsuccessful fireworks ban 😂. And that not smog. It’s the aftermath of the New Year revelry! Welcome 2024!!! Please be a good one. 😊

Pag-IBIG, Philhealth, and other mandated government contributions to increase 😳. These increases are not proportional to the benefits 😡. My God! Ano pa kakainin ng mga tao? Eh lahat napunta na sa contribution. Sueldo na lang di tumataas 😏

Okay. So puno ang isolation rooms of many of the hospitals. Gentle reminder. Please wear a mask and test if you have symptoms. If you’re positive, kindly isolate. Thank you

There’s news being shared re MYSTERY PNEUMONIA in China that’s placing a lot of kids in the hospital. This is also the same case in the PH where we’re seeing more cases of viral respiratory illnesses lately. Most likely due to the effect of prolonged lockdowns. (1/2)

@ruminarist Not all. Ask any of my patients. I start on time, and end on time as well. I only see XX number of patients. That means I see my in-patients much earlier and if many are admitted then make enough time to see them. I believe that we need to all respect each other’s time. 😊

Reminder. If you have COVID you cannot work out and you should avoid working out post COVID. Myocarditis is a fatal complication of COVID and is higher in natural infection. Even if your symptoms are mind, you may develop myocarditis during and after an infection.

So there’s this millennial who’s applying for a job in our company. He wants to have additional leaves because he has other ‘activities’ he would like to engage in. Seryoso? Paano naman yung ibang employees? Ang daming ganap naman sa mga generation Z ngayon. Susme!

With all that's happening in China on the nondisclosure of cases and deaths, as well as fear that the current surge may cause the evolution of new variants of concern, it is but prudent that we maintain border controls TO and FROM China until the situation there is known.

Medical advice to all schools and parents during this peak of flu like illness: 1. No air condition in the classroom. Please! Ventilation is important. Keep the windows open. There will be less transmission of viruses. 2. Handwashing and rubbing always! (1/2)

So you had covid. When can you be out of isolation? 1) Regardless of vaccination status, it is 5-7 days with your first day of testing or first day of symptoms counted as day 0. AND 2) no fever in the last 24 hrs (without any fever reducing agent) AND

At the supermarket. Family in front of me with kids in tow. Kids are coughing with no masks on. Father looks at his mobile phone. Tells his wife to look at his phone - mommy, positive and mga bata. They look at the kids. I look at the sky. 🙄. Good luck sa madla. 🤪

While glutathione is a hot topic, here is the list of approved glutathione in the PH. Only one is approved as an oral preparation, while 8 are IV/IM prep. Kapag wala yun pangalan ng brand ng gluta ninyo dito - unregistered yan and can be a counterfeit drug.

Training new doctors and nurses after those 3 years of lockdown is getting to be quite a challenge. Sad to say, so many are not prepared - emotionally and mentally. Not everything can be learned online.

@rapplerdotcom Worst dishes is not the same as worst tasting. They’re all high in cholesterol and triglycerides or carbohydrate content or uric acid and have little health value. The “red” Filipino hotdog is soaked completely in food coloring which is also detrimental to health.

I was one of those who did ROTC for 2 years. Stood in the sun. Marched for Alay Lakad. Underwent training. Took exams and got 1.0 for the 4 semesters (yes I got perfect attendance and exams). What did I learn? It was such a waste of time. 🤪

Prolonged lockdowns suppress immune responses to common respiratory infections that normally kids would have gotten when exposed to them in the community. Let’s be vigilant and when there’s someone sick, don’t go out, wear a mask, and test when needed.

FAQ: My child has cough and colds (and low grade fever). Do I need to have him swabbed? That’s the topic for today as many parents are hesitant in getting their kids swabbed. For a reason I will never understand.

You know what’s the most painful part of mandated government contributions? You don’t get what you paid for. The politicians continue to enable those who do not contribute at all to this and mulct from the average Pinoy worker. Accountability of government agencies is dire. 😔

With the increase in cases of respiratory infections in kids, I suggest one of two things: 1. To improve ventilation, no air conditioners for all schools this month. With improved ventilation, this will decrease infectivity of respiratory infections. OR (1/2)
