openai should create a model where I can input a prompt like "generate serene forest sounds with a gentle breeze, a snake slithering, a wolf howling, and a stream of flowing water" and get an accurate audio

"The ability to respond to an environment in order to improve one's conditions, perpetuate oneself and maximize one's future freedom of action."
Love this definition. I believe it's by Richard Yonck

Why can't we teach students to reflect on their own morals and identity, rather than blindly accepting what they are exposed to? With tampons in the men's bathroom, why should their presence be misconstrued as forcing anyone to identify as the opposite gender?
@libsoftiktok
America is built on the principle of free speech - that's why we have a myriad of different opinions. Given this diversity, instead of attempting to control these influences, why not teach students to be critical of the information they are exposed to?
@libsoftiktok
This situation has been politicized far beyond necessity. Let the tampons remain in the stalls... let any disapproval remain as well... we should focus our efforts on teaching students to think independently and acknowledge diverse perspectives, without resorting to violence.

The tool was intended for health-conscious users, but now that you mention it, I think it would be interesting to explore its clinical applications - thanks for the question
@libsoftiktok
The decision was not made by our school administration alone; it was in response to a state mandate. There is no reason to blame the administration. They complied to avoid losing/risking resources and acted in students' best interests - not to push any political agenda.
@libsoftiktok
Eerily, this situation reminds me of Harrison Bergerson. Rather than handicapping our ability for critical thought and individuality, regulating every aspect of what we as students are exposed to, why not equip us with the mindset to navigate and assess the world on our own?
@libsoftiktok
In truth, blaming either side of the argument is missing the point. I understand the nuance, but, rather than trying to suppress this action as a means to "protect" students, why not try to teach students to think for themselves?
