I have not seen anything from Jayden Daniels that I did not see at ASU. Late on his reads, too early to scramble, late blitz diagnosis, miscommunication with receivers. It’s disappointing that Brian Kelly has not aided his development more. That’s my take from the first half.

The Mike Williams deal locks in a defensive prospect for the Chargers in round one. I saw Olave or Jamo as good fits, but I think both would have played in the slot anyway. Get the players that match Staley’s defensive philosophy first. Then find a separator later in the draft.
