This decade I missed like 3 years of school, had to do an extra year of A-levels, dropped out of UCL and am now gonna have to defer my final year until October, so safe to say it could have gone better but I’ve got a decent political education along the way so we move I guess

This nearly doubles the number of student cases. How many other universities aren't reporting hundreds of cases? Do we even know the full extent of these outbreaks? This is a catastrophe, nothing is being done and rent & fee income are being prioritised over student lives.

NEW: This is quite the Friday for news. Northumbria University has announced that they are dealing with a major Covid outbreak- with 770 students testing positive for the disease, 78 of whom are symptomatic.

Our *rule mandated* conference was cancelled by the Party this year only for the conference events they committed to deliver and we worked to plan blocked & be told we cannot have a speaker from Palestine Solidarity Campaign. Feels like Labour holds its youth wing in contempt.

Nick Thomas-Symonds says Labour will allow the bill to progress to committee stage but will later press the government for "robust safeguards" in the form of "very clear limits and oversight". Also says it should not retrospectively apply to the Northern Ireland Troubles.
