Whoever said “never met your heroes” never met
@HillaryClinton
. A moment and a conversation I will never forget. Thank you
@NickMerrill
and the many other people who helped make this happen. I am so blessed ❤️
Today, I had my first appointment with a mental health nurse and have been referred for some therapy to help me cope with the anxiety that’s plagued me for too long. Sharing this because asking for help is the bravest thing you can do - please don’t suffer in silence ♥️
Didn’t think I would ever post this publicly but hope it provides a bit of hope for someone who needs it. 47 pounds down and so much healthier and happier. You can do anything you put your mind too 💗
I think about how many summers I spent with a heavy t shirt over my swimsuit - how scared and self conscious I was. Today I ran (generous use of the word) about the beach without a care in the world. This year is for loving yourself and letting your body enjoy the sunshine 😍
One of my fave pics I’ve ever taken. I did my work experience with Nichola more than a decade ago and have been inspired by her ever since. A fearless leader with a heart of gold.
She’ll be missed
“Exiting the Brexit transition period without a trade deal agreed is mad. It’s a bit like driving 30 miles to test your eyesight.”

Not all 17 year olds get to meet their hero. A moment I’ll treasure and never forget. I told him I studied politics and he told me to keep going, the work was not yet done. He was right. The best tribute to John Hume is to build the fairer, new Ireland that was his life’s work.
Genuinely believe that many in the North, unionist nationalist and neither, will have watched that speech and wished to God that man was the one making decisions about all of our lives, as opposed to the clown in London.
Whatever your political views, I don’t think anyone would deny how hard Nichola Mallon worked. She cared deeply about the people she represented. What a huge loss to the Assembly
The people who are savaging a GAA star for saying that he lives in the UK are not the people who should be anywhere near the campaign for Irish unity 👎
My Granny and I just landed in Rome for a wee holiday. Just got on the bus from airport and she says “ok put the Irish News on your phone, I need to read the death notices” 😂😂
#justirishthings
This is a difficult enough time for workers and families.
They need to be protected.
That is why Sinn Féin are calling for a guaranteed basic income for workers.

Shout out to my wee mummy who doesn’t have the luxury of working from home because she works in a homeless hostel. She got new rubber gloves and means business 😆 Grateful for all the heroes working to support the most vulnerable ❤️
Sick to my stomach to see some Irish in America attack their black brothers and sisters for protesting the most fundamentally unjust system. The Irish story is of freedom against oppression. If you don’t stand with your brothers now, take off the damn shamrock on St Patrick’s Day
“I don’t care what you call this place, as long as you call it home.”
A hero and inspiration to those of us in the SDLP. A shining light in the darkest of days and a giant of Irish political life.
Seamus Mallon 1936-2020, a life so very well lived.
Jesus wept but it is such a N Irish thing that we’re trying to make Black Lives Matter about us and using it to pointscore. Of course there are comparisons but can we just stop trying to make everything about us and just show solidarity?!
Support from Irish America this week has been incredible. Can’t help think of John Hume, who took a loan out of the credit union to go and meet Senator Teddy Kennedy and foster those powerful relationships. As always, John played the long game and we all benefit from it.
Arlene not the only one leaving Stormont this week 😆 Today is my last day with

and can’t wait for a new challenge 🙏🥳😘
Fantastic tribute to the most wonderful woman, Pat Hume. Deserves every word of these accolades, there would be no peace without her.
Does anyone recognize the moody teenager in the background here? 😆
@columeastwood
Went to have some lunch in Drogheda today. Checked our Covid certificates upon entry and when seated at the table too. It was absolutely grand. Don’t buy into the hysteria nonsense
Hello just a reminder it is actually possible to not watch the Queen’s speech and also not be a dick about it because it means a lot to some people, why not give it a go?
I’ve known Christopher Stalford more than 10 years and as much stick as he’s given me (and received in return) he was a good man with a genuine love for his community. Tragic news.
Over to you now, South Belfast! Genuinely no better person to trust with your vote. Please consider
@MatthewOToole2
for your number one vote tomorrow

I share this every year and I’m sure people are sick looking at it, BUT 5 years ago today I had a solid 10 seconds of craic with
@BarackObama
and it was the best ❤️💗
Now the election is over I can tweet this! Lots of fun times over the campaign and I only annoyed
@columeastwood
with my loud voice about 150 times 😅😅😅
Shout out to my wee mummy, who is working overnight in a homeless hostel making dinner for all the residents ♥️ love to all the heroes working while the rest of us can relax at home
My Granny and Granda are in the house for the foreseeable for safety reasons but the babas wanted to see them anyway 💗💗💗 hope this makes you smile in very scary times!
Imagine my reaction when I opened a letter this morning and found this 🥺🥺🥺
The best post today, a lovely wee birthday surprise from
@HillaryClinton
😘👭💗
(Have already replied to ask her to save the date for next years celebrations at Cathedral Quarter)
The snobs posting about people queuing to go to Primark for the first time in four months have very little to say about the yearly 5am queues for the Next sale on Boxing Day
Some big news to share! Delighted to have been selected for this exciting program. I'll leave on 25th May to travel across four States learning about American culture. Can't wait! Thanks to
@USAinNI
for all their support 😀
Not to be a Karen here but honestly
@PowerNI
this is getting a bit ridiculous. What is the truth? Two weeks after the vouchers were all due to be issued and nothing but conflicting info
Our hero and our shining light. God gave John Hume to Ireland at a time when we needed him most and he left our place much better than he found it. A life so very, very well lived ❤️

If the Executive can afford to give 100 quid to people who don’t need it (like me!) they absolutely must find the money to protect the £20 uplift to Universal Credit and support those struggling the most
My senior year of high school my teacher laughed at me when I told him I was going to be a lawyer. Today I was accepted to law school with a $15,000 scholarship, so I emailed him.
My wee mummy has worked flat out through the pandemic, supporting some of the most vulnerable people in Belfast, in a homeless hostel. Today she gets her first vaccine! Hope 💗❤️
An asthma flare up had me in A&E for about five hours today, absolutely shattered and can’t wait for a night of Harry Potter (Order of the Phoenix!) and pizza 😍 grateful for all the hardworking staff in the hospital 🙏❤️
So on my wee walk of the day, I wear a mask to be BUT when I pass someone they can’t tell that I’m smiling at them, so I’ve taken to giving them a wee thumbs up. I am, in fact, someone’s da

Feeling absolutely terrible and the overwhelming feeling is thank goodness I have my vaccine and booster. I’m 27 and reasonably healthy. Covid is no joke. Please get your vaccine if you haven’t already
We just drove past
@SJAMcBride
on the Ormeau Road (I think) and I said to James “there’s Sam McBride” and his reply was “oh here maybe he’s away to Mauds for a new scoop” 😳😳😂😂
Really lovely to spend the afternoon at the Mater Hospital at the launch of NIPanC - the pancreatic cancer partnership. Great to hear from

and of course Mr Jamie Dornan! No pic but got one with
@kingmartinj
which is just as good really😆
Catholic Church gets a hard time and often deservedly so, but we have had a bereavement recently and our parish have been amazing. Priests calling in to see my grandparents, praying with them, phoning to check in. Providing immense comfort at a hard time
Three years ago today! The scariest thing i've ever done but I still get messages today from people i don't know saying they've read the story and it helped them see a way out of the darkness.
