This passage, about AOC’s reluctance to marry someone of another race, illustrates the regressive impulse of some progressives.

’s response is exactly right.

As a GenX that married into another culture for 30 years I can say it’s been the most enriching experience of my life. It was also a challenge of growth for our in laws. Sad that my adult children live in a regressive social construct now 😔 Love is Love 💕 🤷 just don’t get it.

This is trash journalism. I don't even like AOC and the only thing I see is the author's interpretation of what was said later which isn't quoted. Do better.

When I started dating my wife, she told me that in her country "race" was not a big deal. It's too bad that AOC doesn't realize that

Wait, I thought Hispanic wasn’t a race. That’s why you have white non-Hispanics, white Hispanics, black non-Hispanics, etc. And I’m fairly certain a large portion of that 94% only approves of interracial marriage “for other people.”
@cjscalia
@charlescwcooke
What is her "race" exactly? Does she take some 23&me test and compare notes with prospective husbands?
My ancestors are from a tiny sub-Russian ethnicity. If I marry a Hungarian Jew, is our relationship "intra-white"?
Headache.

Everything the left accuses the right of, they openly do themselves...racism, Russia collusion, deep corruption, get rich off the backs of the poor and middle class...it's all projection.

CongressMenstruatingPerson, Ocasio-Cortez is of the "white" race.
Hispanic & Latino are an ethnicity.
And she knows that, which is why she included "intercultural" to her description of her relationship with her fiancé.
